Lafki is a picturesque settlement on the mountain Pantokratoras built at an altitude of 420 meters. It is quite an old village which is known as a settlement since 1347, when its inhabitants along with the residents of Palia Perithia participated in the construction of the Monastery of Pantokratoras at the top of the mountain.
In Lafki is a wonderful taverna, ‘ Taverna Nefeli’, is located in the village of Lafki, just 2km from Agios Martinos and the ‘Little bakery annexe’. With fabulous sea and valley views, friendly staff and delicious local dishes this traditional village taverna is a must visit during your stay. The homemade stifado is the best on the island!

Old Perithia, one of the island’s most unique places to visit on the island. A Village of Venetian origin that was once a hideaway from pirates, was all but deserted, reclaimed and protected by nature. Since 2010 it’s been lovingly and gently coming back to life.
Our favourite tavernas in Old Perithia are ‘Taverna Evdokia’ or ‘O Foros’. Both serve fabulous traditional homemade dishes in the heart of the old village.
