An abandoned traditional 800 year old village that's slowly being resurrected.. You can enjoy a beautiful hike and at the end of it enjoy a drink or meal at one of the taverns that have opened over the past few years!..

Old Perithia, one of the island’s most unique places to visit on the island. A Village of Venetian origin that was once a hideaway from pirates, was all but deserted, reclaimed and protected by nature. Since 2010 it’s been lovingly and gently coming back to life. Our favourite tavernas in Old Perithia are ‘Taverna Evdokia’ or ‘O Foros’. Both serve fabulous traditional homemade dishes in the heart of the old village.

Old Peritheia village, one of the oldest village of Corfu! The small stone picturesque houses give a representative example of how Corfu's villages used to be. Currently is unoccupied but there you can find some tavernas to relax and take a break!

The old Perithia, located in the North East corner of the island, is a deserted village with roots in the 14th century. This pictures que village is a great place to explore. Here you take a step back in time or just sit and enjoy a drink in one of the pleasant local tavernas.
