Parks & Nature

These are some local favourites for nature, trees, and views!
The Sea Wall is a bike/walk/run is an uninterrupted pathway that hugs all of downtown Vancouver. Advice is to start at English Bay, continue to Second Beach, on to Third Beach and arrive at the Sewash Rock. If you're really feeling adventurous, follow the path around the entirety of Stanley Park! Around Stanley Park is 9km (2-3 hour walk or 1 hour bike ride!). It's definitely a favourite!

Beautiful spot for soaking in nature in the city. It's a 10km loop. There are also dozens of trails within the park. The loop is great for a run, walk, or rent a bike close by. My favourite spot in the park are Third Beach and Siwash Rock.

Neighborhoods

Lots of history in the neighbourhood. It is beside Main and Hastings which has it's own history (avoid if possible - not unsafe or dangerous but lots of addiction problems in this area) and also close to the hip Gastown but there are lots of shops both old and new in Chinatown to check out. The Chinese gardens are also quite beautiful. You can take the #8 bus straight to chinatown - get off around Prior St. Avoid driving here as there are lots of car break ins in downtown Vancouver.
