Glo is in a 5 minute walk from the apartment. There is also a KFC, Metro burger joint, fresco, Dominos, Salatbarinn (a buffet with home cooked meals) Subway, Sushi, Saffran, Dirtyburgers and ribs and much more within a 3-5 minute walk from the apartment

My favourite coffee shop in the center of Reykjavik, you can sit inside or outside, but my favourite part is all the unique stuff you can check out while waiting for the coffee! and of course the coffee is great too!

If you are a pizza enthusiast, and don't settle for shit like Dominos, i recommend Eldofninn, they don't have a home delivery but don't let that stop you. These stone oven pizzas are by far the best pizzas in town, if it isn't to much to do at the restaurant then your pizza is ready in about 4-5 minutes, and you don't feel like shit after eating a whole pizza by yourself!

If you are a pizza enthusiast, and don't settle for shit like Dominos, i recommend Eldofninn, they don't have a home delivery but don't let that stop you. These stone oven pizzas are by far the best pizzas in town, if it isn't to much to do at the restaurant then your pizza is ready in about 4-5 minutes, and you don't feel like shit after eating a whole pizza by yourself!

Walking down Laugarvegur which is the main street through downtown Reykjavik you can't miss any of the bars and nightclubs. On the weekends in the evening or at night you can walk down laugarvegur which is in about 15-20 minute walk from the apartment and you will find that the street teems with life. There is a lot of bars, nightclubs and restaurants to choose from, if you want to check something specific out then i recommend scrolling through the grapevine magazine or website for the prices of alcoholic beverages and specific genres of music themed bars or just to check out what is happening at this moment in our city that is worth checking out.

Parks & Nature
Laugardalur is a beautiful public park just a 5 minute walk from the apartment, whether your walking, jogging or cycling it is nice to go through the park, especially in the summer time. There is a zoo there that has a huge playground perfect for energised kids of all ages. There is also an ice skating hall there where you can rent skates. Also there is a unique little coffee shop next to the zoo that is called Kaffi Flóra (Café Flora), the coffee shop is in the midst of a beautiful garden where they have collected all kinds of trees, grasses and flowers from all over the world, so it is a perfect place for nature enthusiast to go explore, or just to enjoy a cup of coffee with a view!

Kringlan is one of our malls, and it also is not too far from the apartment. Whether you want to go shopping, out to eat or go to the movies Kringlan is the place to go! did i mention they have a child care called Adventure Garden? leave the kids there and go get a cup of coffee !
Also they have a comfortable quiet room for mums with toddlers to nappy change or breastfeeding mums on the 3rd floor!

This store is also fairly cheap compared to others, it is a bit further away but i feel they have a little more to offer than Bónus, although this is one of the smaller Krónan stores, i like the one on Bíldshöfða better because it's bigger.

Getting Around
The bus stops are all over the town, On Grensásvegur are 2 bus stops, on one side you can find a bus going toward kringlan amongst other places, and on the other side you will find a bus stop that will go to Hlemmur, which is in the center of down town and the main bus stopping station.
