This is a guesthouse in a quiet rural village in a 15-minute drive to the Gangneung Sea. The building is connected, but it is composed of an annex with a separate entrance, bathroom, and self-catering facilities, and independent stays are available (Netflix available). Free parking is available in the yard, and there is an outdoor dining area, so you can also have a barbecue experience with the electric grill (no charcoal/bonfire due to the risk of wildfires). If you come with children, you can also experience the season with owners such as the rural grandmother and grandpa. Recommended for up to 2 adults and 2 children as the explosion proof is not wide. It is narrower than 3 minutes for adults. We will also prepare breakfast for those who apply for a home-cooked meal such as a mother's meal (charged). The birth of 'Golmala' dates back to 1938. The wooden structure, which has endured for 86 years, had many places to touch, as some parts had collapsed. The pillars of the hanok were preserved as much as possible, and the missing parts were replaced to match the past and the present in the wooden structure. All indoor spaces have been carefully designed to visually communicate with the outdoor courtyard. The spacious bathroom space is designed to be the most cozy place in this house. We hope you experience the meeting of the past and the present during your stay at 'Golmala'. We have provided a guide to the history of 'Golmala', nearby restaurants, bars, and cafe information. It was officially opened as a Hanok experience accommodation business at the end of January 2023.
