Holiday rentals with a sauna in Saint Croix River

The Snug was the perfect creative and cozy space for a visit to the Twin Cities for a songwriting conference. Douglas went above and beyond every step of the way. The space was meticulously crafted and staged, which made me feel like a VIP in the best way. Everything was perfectly clean, and the sauna was a real showstopper. Honestly, the pictures don’t do the space justice! The space is fully private, but the hosts do live upstairs — that being said, they were so quiet, I could hardly believe they were home until I would hear an occasional footstep overhead. They were so considerate! Douglas did an excellent job of proactively communicating about things that could have caused confusion or frustration for a guest, such as parking, which can be a bit tricky to find if you get in late at night, but his recommendations made it seamless to navigate. Great customer service! I felt so welcome and taken care of — I would definitely stay here again!

Colleen & Aaron made us feel so welcome and cozy! Their Lowry Garden Apartment was the loveliest weekend experience, and we’re definitely planning to return. Just a few blocks from the Minneapolis Walker Art Center, this hidden gem with its side entrance gave us the privacy we needed, but the inside held so many wonderful surprises, with its gas fireplace, vinyl albums and turntable, A+ coffee bar, full modern kitchen, and their superb attention to design and detail. The apartment was very clean, comfortable, and peaceful, with the added perks of an outdoor hot tub, sauna, and magical greenhouse lounge with colorful hanging lanterns on the upper deck. Can’t beat that! Super hosts who care for your wellbeing all the way around. Thanks, Colleen & Aaron!

This AirBnb was by far the nicest we've had in Minneapolis for a small space suited to minimal needs of a couple. It was as described, beautifully clean, neighborhood felt safe, and everything we needed/used worked without complications! The hosts were extremely responsive and cognizant of our private space (they live upstairs). The kitchen is small, no stove but we knew that and honestly very well supplied for our needs. Thank You so much, we'll be back..

Our family had a lovely stay of Ryan’s place over the new year. The apartment was beautiful and comfortable for our family of five to spend the week in the twin cities. Our children loved all the great board games, picture books and of course hammock. My husband and I loved the peaceful sauna in Ryan’s backyard. Thank you for being such a wonderful host!

My wife and I spent a weekend here to celebrate our 15th anniversary. We were looking for a low-key getaway that was relaxing and gave us time to connect. This place did not disappoint. Our host, Mary, made it very easy to prepare for our visit and was flexible when we asked if we could check in a little early. She offered to preheat the sauna to accommodate our arrival time. She clearly communicated the code needed for entry and made sure we knew where to park and how to access the entrance. When we entered the building, it quickly became clear why this place has such high ratings. You can tell the hosts have anticipated everything their guests will need for their stay. I would highly recommend this place to others. Thanks for a great weekend!

Great deal here! An amazing location, and the host has a few buildings that are provided within the rate which affords fun amenities like a hot tub (not sauna), a gym, and an arcade with a bowling alley. AMAZING walkability for Minni. Great restaurants and night life around. Very young crowd! Parking is a little tough at $27 a night. If I’m being nit picky, A little disappointed having no control over the thermostats. But if that’s your biggest complaint, it’s been a great trip! Overall 9/10 on the place. Nearly perfect! And the host was very communicable. Highly recommend!

We had a great time at this beautiful condo in Canal Park - two families with four kids total (all elementary age). Plenty to do, from the brewery downstairs to the pool in the hotel to walking around Canal Park shopping and eating. Great central location to spend a day driving north and exploring the shoreline as well. Pictures represent this place perfectly and the unit was spotless - just as advertised! We will be back.

This place is so convenient for the Canal Park area. Two separate bedrooms and bathroom were perfect for the us and the kiddos. It was a great stay.

This is a great option for a Duluth getaway! The hilltop views are very impressive and it’s a short jaunt down to Canal Park. We had no difficulties finding close street parking. The condo was incredibly clean and modern. Would stay again!

Great hosts! Parking can be a little challenging with more than one car, and finding the lot is a little tricky. They were very responsive and helped when we couldn’t find it! 10/10 recommend!

Fantastic stay for 8-12 people! Extremely open space, and lots of activities to keep everyone entertained. My stay involved lots of karaoke, darts, fireside chats, and enjoying coffee on the outside porch overlooking the woods. The space itself is massive, and could easily fit a large group without feeling cramped. I stayed with 7 others and we all loved the place. 10/10 would recommend! My only complaint is the amount of personal belongings that were left by the host. There was a significant amount of food and drinks left in both fridges(one in the kitchen and one in the garage) with little to no instructions on what was the hosts personal food or what was left by past guests. The bar in the garage was also stocked with some drinks and mixers, but again there were no instructions on if they were there for guests or not. A few more details about the rules could have been nice, but that is just one small complaint against so many positive features this stay has to offer!

Honestly, this location is everything they say it is. For the first time ever I can write a review saying I peacefully slept throughout the entire night without waking up and that is typically my biggest complaint when renting. Everything was comfortable. The couches were comfortable, the bed in the master bed at least was comfortable and everything felt so homey. My boyfriend and I used this as a staycation away from our two kids since we haven’t had a night out in over a year. We sat in the hot tub and gazed at the stars at it was awesome. My only complaint that is out of everyone’s control is that there is a Robin that is either lonely or really likes his reflection and pooped all over my car. This morning we went for a walk around what may or may not have been their property and it was beautiful. We pictured raising our kids there, it really was such a relaxing, beautiful location. Communication was great and I would highly recommend for whatever reason you’re looking!

Jeremy had great communication and was responsive to questions. This location worked out perfectly for a family event in West St. Paul and a stop at the Wabasha Brewery was also a bonus.

The house was so beautiful and once we walked in the door it felt like home. The property was just amazing and the neighborhood was so quiet. The backyard was an oasis! Each room was decorated beautifully. We booked the trip to celebrate my grandson’s Baptism and Tom and Rachel were so sweet and bought a beautiful gift. They also made delicious kombucha which we finished during our stay. I only wish we could have stayed longer. The kitchen was stocked well and all the bathrooms were so beautiful….Especially the master. Everything was so neat and clean. Any questions I had were answered very quickly. It was just a great stay! Thank you Tom and Rachel for allowing us in your beautiful home! We hope to come again soon as we have family in the area! Many blessings

We enjoyed staying at this old farmhouse. It was a nice compliment to our purpose for the visit, seeing the Laura Ingalls Wilder cabin in Pepin. We enjoyed the sauna too. Clean and comfortable. There are many nice inclusions, such as books, games, and movies to fill in void times. Thanks for the relaxing stay.
