It's my dream come true - an old, ruined building transformed into a stylish, comfortable and inviting home. I love its charm and character; the spacious, airy rooms and wooden floors, and the glimpse of the past, lingering in the rough, stone walls.
“Little Cocoa is a very special and beautiful place! We absolutely LOVED it! So comfortable and relaxing. We woke up to orange winged parrots in the trees off our veranda and other birds including many hummingbirds on all the beautiful trees in the garden. A very peaceful place to come back to after exploring the island. Their dogs Lola and Mojo greeted us when we came home and stayed with us to keep us company which was a delight! They are very sweet dogs, as is Mr Jolly and their donkey, Amiga. Shelly and Phillip were great hosts. Super communication and very friendly and helpful. Cottage was so clean. Furniture and bed comfortable. Spices and lots of cooking utensils and a charcoal grill which we used to make lobster and tuna fresh from local fishermen-mmm!! It was very safe and quiet here. A short walk down the hill we saw lots of different birds. I would recommend renting a car, we used Gabriel's Rental which Shelley arranged for us. They were friendly, helpful and professional. Explore all of this lovely island! Don't worry if you get lost, the locals are so willing to help and give directions and even lead you directly to what you are looking for! We took 3 tours through Tropical Adventures and would highly recommend them. The owner, Vaughan Francis is an avid birder and took us on a 12 hour tour birding at a variety of places, it was exceptional. The other guide, Mikey, is so knowledgeable and fun to be with. All their tours are private, which make it special. We took Grenada in a nutmeg shell tour so saw the entire island, including River Antonie Rum Distillery (so interesting!!), the Nutmeg Processing Plant (very good!), and chocolate factory. Had local cuisine for lunch and enjoyed great views driving. The Shoreline Trail hike in Grand Etang is very pretty. The grocery stores have pretty much everything you will need. We liked to buy from the 3 fellows that fished and speared that are by the entrance of Laura's Restaurant and Marina, very near by. Grenville Fish Market was good too. We snorkeled Flamingo Bay-go far left by rocks and you will see lots of coral and huge fans! We drove down to Dragons Bay and Moses had a boat that took us to snorkel the underwater sculpture park ($30 USD per person for about an hour). He guided us so we saw all the sculptures. Toady at the bar made a delicious drink with grapefruit juice and angostura bitters. There are washrooms there too. Be sure and drive north to Leapers Hill - the view is extraordinary! As it is at Levere Beach and Bathway Beach. All in all, Grenada is a spectacular island and Little Cocoa is the place to stay!”
This spacious 1BR villa has a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, dining & living room. Patio has a beautiful view of the lush Grenadian landscape surrounding Le Sheridon. One of many beaches is located near the villa and a picturesque view of the Atlantic Ocean can be seen from the property. Windows are mosquito-proof, fan provided.
“As a new traveller, I was nervous to go to an island I had never even heard of, let alone travelled to but my worries were swept away as soon as Chase was there to welcome us at the airport. There are not enough words to describe the hospitality and genuine graciousness Chase shows his guests. His Airbnb is extremely tidy and located in a wonderful location. I suggest renting a vehicle if you would like to explore the island independently but Chase will go out of his way to accommodate any of your needs for a very reasonable charges, sometimes no charge if he is already going in your required direction. There is a small secluded beach a 10-15 minute walk away or a beautiful cliff ending on the edge of the island with the never ending ocean view a 5 minute walk away. A 10 minute drive away is a bigger beautiful beach (La Sagesse) with a restaurant and little to no people, which became our absolute favourite day spot. Anything Chase recommends is a wonderful experience and you can absolutely always trust his intuition and knowledge of the island. He has a wonderful community of friends who are extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. You will definitely not regret staying at Le Sheridan and will be tempted to return sooner than your budget can handle.”
A Hidden Gem in the heart of Windsor Forest . This gorgeous house has been built in a typically Grenadian fashion, so as to keep in touch with the history and culture of the island. The grounds surrounding the house have a beautiful array of colourful flowers. The apartment is on the ground floor with Colonial Steps leading to the big double doors, and light and airy rooms inside. Trish and Kimo hope to see you soon and to make your stay as unique as you are.
“We had a lovely stay at Kimo’s place. Trish was always available, helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had. The apartment is clean, spacious and very well equipped. Lack of a/c is not an issue here - there is always a nice breeze flowing through the house and all the windows have screens. We did feel it was a little far from the things we wanted to see as well as restaurants and grocery stores and were grateful to have a car, which we rented independently. Google Maps is fairly reliable across the island but not so much in Windsor Forest. Thankfully, all the locals were helpful and we managed to find our way thanks to them :) Arrange airport transfer and car rental with Trish if you want to save yourself the hassle! Would definitely recommend Kimo’s place to anyone who has a sense of adventure and wants to experience Grenada off the beaten track. Amazing value for the price.”
