Gîte de l'Abbaye d'Etrun and its green park

The cottage is the oldest house in the village, it guarded the entrance to the Abbey of the Benedictines of Etrun. The Abbey was founded in 980 and destroyed during the revolution in 1789. The whole has been listed as a Historic Monument. In 1815 Cardinal De La TOUR d'AUVERGNE decided to build his "Summer Residence" of which the surrounding walls still exist, as well as some period elements. In 1915, General Pétain made it his headquarters and commanded the Battle of Artois from these places.

We welcome you to our 2 accommodations in a quiet area surrounded by greenery , but very close to big cities , Lille 20 minutes , Lens 25 minutes, Arras 30 minutes . The building is independent of our house. In your accommodation, on the ground floor, you will find the living room, the toilet and the kitchen, and upstairs, the bedroom with the bathroom. .We are 3 km from the Phalempin forest. For work, the highway is 7 mins away . I look forward to welcoming you😁.

the accommodation is a small street house, well-equipped and friendly, that can accommodate a family on vacation or on weekends and business travelers during the week. The highway is 2 minutes away, ideal for getting to Lille or Lens. There is no parking space with the accommodation, you will have to park in the surrounding streets. We have a private spa right next to the accommodation, we would love to give you a preferential rate on our afternoon packages.
