La Charpenterie is our simple, rustic three-bedroom second home, surrounded by a large garden in a tranquil corner of Basse Normandy. It’s a place that we love to visit with our family and close friends to escape busy city life. While we are not there, we love to invite guests on Airbnb to let themselves in and stay. We think it’s a fantastic getaway for independently-minded travellers who are looking for some peace and quiet, in the middle of the French countryside without distractions.

Happy Valley

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. Happy Valley is situated in the heart of the Normandy countryside at the end of a no-through road so no noisy passing traffic! It shares the site with our main home and 2 other gites. We're about 45 minutes from Mont St Michel; an hour from Bayeaux, Caen, Mayenne and Fougeres. It's another half an hour to the famous D-Day beaches. There are plenty of places to visit and things to do and of course lots of French markets and vide-greniers!

Enjoy 4 beds in our beautiful Norman home, enjoy breathing the fresh air! This former mansion is located in the warm village of Pont-Farçy, two kilometers from the A84, you can quickly reach Mont Saint-Michel, and the landing beaches. Numerous activities are also possible in the surrounding area: walks on the towpath, bungee jumping at the Souleuvre Viaduct, Festyland Park in Caen and canoeing less than 1 km from the vacation rental.

Ancienne Baronnie, this recently renovated house is waiting for you. Dating from the 18th century, this house was known to the whole village and even today many inhabitants remember having spent time there. The renovation focused on the enhancement of natural materials (wood, stone) by adding a modern side. Located halfway between Caen and Mont-Saint-Michel, in the southwest of Calvados, you will stay in a magnificent granite house (called the Bleu de Vire) from 1832 (classified as 3* furnished tourism). You will have access to almost the entire house as well as its beautiful one hectare garden, wooded and quiet, ideal for nature lovers.

The Firs

A renovated old cider barn, with plenty of original character beams. A cosy lounge and well equipped kitchen are found on the ground floor. Access to the first floor is up a spiral stair case, leading to a large open bedroom and bathroom, plus a separate Sipper bath located on a small mezzanine.
