“Great stay. Very clean . Sam and Rachel were kind enough to leave some milk in the fridge and some biscuits for us on arrival as well some fresh flowers on the table. Kitchen has everything you need to cook. Very close to the high street as well as parking and a supermarket. Had an amazing time”
A spacious house in the beautiful town of Salcombe, South Devon.
“We were a party of 5 with a baby and the house was amply big enough for all of us. It is stylishly decorated and very comfortable, all bedrooms are a good size. The location is excellent - in the maritime arts quarter but very convenient for the whole of Salcombe. We enjoyed not having to use the car, doing walks round Snape’s Point (see guide manual in the house), a walk along the coast to National Trust house and gardens Overbeck’s which had fantastic views and lovely terrace restaurant with good food. The house and gardens are not big but interesting and a good place to walk to. We also did a lovely walk over the water in East Portlemouth- varied and with glorious views. We also enjoyed accessing the beaches in East Portlemouth which were cut off at high tide. Our daughter and son in law enjoyed a good meal at Dick and Wills on the terrace overlooking the estuary. Good food also at The Winking Prawn by North Sands. Many places with good food. Mark was very good at responding quickly to messages and there were lovely welcoming touches -shortbread biscuits, Devon fudge and a very welcome bottle of milk in the fridge.”
Moorview is a well-equipped, two bedroom detached bungalow with a very large conservatory and secure garden at the rear. It's set back from the road leaving ample parking for two cars and a small dinghy. An extremely relaxing setting for a holiday in Salcombe with only a short walk to town where you will find a superb choice of shops, restaurants, coffee bars. A favourite walk is down Beadon lane to North Sands. The nearest grocery shop/post office is only a few minutes walk away.
“Moorview is well located for beaches and Salcombe town. There is also a lovely park for children and playing field to walk dogs at the top of the road. The bungalow was very clean and extremely well equipped. We made good use of beach toys and everything your fur baby may need to enjoy their stay has been thought of. Fabulous conservatory to relax in. Large secure garden for dogs and children to play. Wendy has given lots of thought to make your stay enjoyable and very kindly left a lovely gift for us. I would definitely recommend Moorview”
