Spend time in the garden with views of Joshua trees and mountains with stars above the fire pit at night. A wonderful back yard with a fire pit (please bring your own wood) and horse shoes is available for use, and a private entrance is provided for the guests. The rented space includes a stand alone studio apartment with a private entrance, access to the back yard grill, fire pit, and horse shoe pit. This is a stand alone private studio apartment directly behind the owner's home. The owner will be available to assist you with any issues you may have during your stay. The home is in a quiet neighborhood away from busy streets. Restaurants and shops are nearby and it is only a 10-minute drive to the entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. Hike in the afternoon and enjoy seeing the Milky Way from the front porch. This awesome venue is located only 10 minutes from the entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. There is only one stop light between the venue and a super Wal-Mart or Home Depot. A short 5 minute drive will get you to the Crossroads cafe for some outstanding hamburgers. This space is owned and maintained by a local rock climber guide; if you are interested in a rock climbing adventure during your stay, please let the owner know! The apartment is outfitted with a pellet burning stove as the main heat source. If more than two guests wish to stay, there is an additional floor air mattress available. An additional charge of $15 per person per night will be made for additional guests (more than 2).

There is a bedroom, a living room (with office function and massage sofa), an open kitchen and dining room (with 65-inch TV, washing machine and dryer), and a full bathroom.When someone is resting, your companion will not disturb the companion resting in the bedroom by using other spaces.
The bedroom is very quiet, even during the day you can have a good sleep, the mattress is a super large King Size soft latex mattress, several guests have asked about the brand of the mattress after returning home, hoping to replace the mattress at home with such a comfortable mattress. The interior of the house is fully functional, fully capable of meeting the needs of daily life, and is fully independent to use, no sharing is required.Very private. There is a private bathroom, kitchen, washing machine and dryer, you can just bring your luggage, fully functional for home living. The location is very convenient, next to the 210 highway, 2 minutes drive to Amazon Fresh Market, less than 2 miles to Costco and several business districts; about 20 minutes drive to the largest Outlet-Ontrio Mills, about 20 minutes to Ontario Airport, 12 miles to Riverside, 10 minutes drive to Victoria Gardens Pedestrian Business District, 48 miles to Arrow Lake...

Then take a less than 5 minute drive to one of the MANY neighborly boutiques and cafés in the old town of Yucca Valley. Mosey back to the house to catch the sherbet sunset as you make that desert fire in our fire-pit. There’s your perfect day in the contemporary cowboy Casita.

The Cabin at Painted Canyon Homestead This serene cabin is situated at the mouth of a canyon overlooking Morongo Valley, where the high desert meets the San Gorgonio & San Jacinto Mountains. As the guest house on our property of 5 acres, the cabin is privately located bordering vast public lands. Wander the property, hike the canyon trail, visit our four cheeky mini donkeys, & enjoy the wood-fired hot tub (or use it with fresh cold water!). Perfectly suited for two w/ lots of space to explore!

We are a 3-minute drive to Ralph’s Shopping Center which also consist of stores such as Starbucks, Wells Fargo, UPS, and Enterprise. 15 minute drive to Ontario Airport.
