This is a cozy one-room cottage with bath (shower) that comfortably sleeps two on a queen-sized bed. A small refrigerator, toaster, coffeemaker (coffee/tea pods, creamer and sugar supplied), dinnerware and microwave allow you to prepare simple meals and picnic lunches for your excursions into the canyon and national forest. The wisteria covered front porch offers a place to kick back and relax with views of the surrounding mountains.
“What a great little spot right in the heart of immense beauty! We were a little skeptical about the small size and lack of a regular kitchen when we booked. But the “cabin” is so well executed in form and function that it gives you pleasure to be there. The hosts are great, interesting, informative, and committed to seeing you have everything needed to enjoy the opportunities that they and nature offers. We love to have our own food when we travel, but with extra prep and planning we managed to turn out some great meals with the microwave. There could be no better jumping-off spot to explore the wonders of Cave Creek Canyon.”
You are staying at a guest house for our Community. “Such a wonderfully welcoming spot, it always feels like home but just a little bit better. Great location, comfortable, robust internet, always clean and tidy. There are many great day trips close by and very worth exploring. Jeffery and Moramay put in the hard. work behind the scenes to make this all look so effortless. Such a great place!”
Our house is a well-equipped home decorated in south western style. It has been rented by visitors from many parts of the world since 2005, some of whom have returned many times. It is situated at the mouth of Cave Creek Canyon in the beautiful Chiricahua Mountains which are noted for their abundance of wildlife and walking trails. The pristine night skies is evidenced by the number of private observatories. For more details visit arizonaskyvillage.co.uk
“Wonderful place to stay for a peaceful trip. The home is clean and exactly as described. The scopes were fun to use, but my husband and I really enjoyed using the binoculars to watch the birds and critters around the house. Kitchen had everything required to make our meals. Plenty of options for entertainment in the home, just bring some dvds and sit back and relax. The last 30 min to the house is on a dirt/gravel road, it was pretty smooth, but just be aware your car will get dirty and there are stones that kick up. Also, moths. There are a lot of moths in the area and some do get into the house. Catch them while they are sleeping during the day and they won't bother you at night. Cave creek canyon is about 30 min drive away and is a perfect place to go hiking and exploring. We did the basin trail and loved it. Will be back for sure!”
