Juliabuda is located in Haugsbygda on Gurskøya. Juliabuda was built in the 1860s and we can offer an evocative stay in this authentic sea scene where there has been both herring salting, post office and shop. Sjøbuda has a jetty with the opportunity to go boating or enjoy the view of the fjord and the islands in the strait. The area has many beautiful excursion spots, both by the fjord and in the mountains at 600-700 metres above sea level, with both easy and more difficult terrain. My boathouse is as close as you can get to the waterfront. It is built in a navy style with lots of antique items from a former career at sea. I believe it has what is needed to enjoy a relaxing holiday on a quiet Island on the norwegian westcoast.
