I can’t say enough what a beautiful experience we had at the casita. It was charming in all the best ways and totally equipped for meals and relaxation. Plenty of dogs, burros, trails and a lovely pool. If you’re lucky enough to engage with the hosts, then your experience will be complete!

The ranch is a magnificent retreat in the Oaxacan countryside. The rooms are big and clean, the sitting areas are comfortable (especially the hammocks!), and the estate is a perfect spot to read, write, meditate or wander around aimlessly. The nearby river is clean and fast and perfect for a refreshing dip, and the very well maintained pool on site is likely where you’ll spend most of your day. If given the option of having the staff prepare your meals, absolutely do it. We ate three delicious meals every day including the best mole any of us have ever had. Make friends with the cats and dogs. Enjoy watching the horses gallop around every morning. Do the half hour hike to see the 3,000 year old cave drawings. Stroll around town and check out the dozens of murals that were painted this past summer. Bring long sleeved shirts and pants for the evenings and use the bug spray provided as the insects are abundant but manageable.

Excellent place, a very large house ideal for family gatherings, we really enjoyed the smoke kitchen, the pool table, lots of privacy. What should be taken into account (and it is mentioned in the description of the airbnb) is that the internet and the signal is very limited, just for messages. Excellent place near Oaxaca, in 30-40 min you reach downtown.

We are very grateful and happy about the time that we have spent on the Rancho Villa Sol. Oswaldo and his family are the sweetest people you can imagine and do everything that you feel welcome and don’t miss anything. We loved the surroundings, the beautiful landscape and view and also enjoyed the shared time with the hole family. The time on the Ranch was one of our highlights in Mexico and we would love to come back. Thank you so much for being that wonderful!

Stunning property. We spent two weeks at Barbara’s place and really enjoyed it. The pictures really don’t do it justice. We loved hanging out in the beautiful screened in pergola with our coffee or wine. I even did some remote work out there. It does take 25-30 minutes to drive into Oaxaca city. Jhonny the caretaker is a doll and available for anything you need.

It's a solid 5 stars mostly because of Roberto and his family. They helped us in so many ways, whether it is arranging drop-off or pick-up at the airport or helping us extensively when my friend got taken into the hospital. All the problems we had (like loss of internet), he was very quick to help. The house is very pretty and big, beds very confortable but also had a few problems (voltage drops, leaks that triggers the pump frequently, dogs barking at night, occasional smell in the bathroom) that might be a concern if you work remote but I imagine perfectly fine if you're on holidays. All in all, many thanks Roberto!

The accommodation in Rmz was more than convenient since we planned to make a stopover in the Cd. of Oaxaca heading to Cd. de Mexico for which its location is unbeatable. With all the services and amenities for modern living, it is a very spacious house to spend even an instance of more time, we will definitely be back very soon! A few steps away is a loaf of bread, around the way a shop where everything basic is surrounded and very close by different options for lunch and dinner!
