It is close to several lakes with swimming spots, boat rental, restaurants, a swimming pool, wildlife park, a historic city center with theater, cinema, cathedral, church and Renessainc Castle. Groß Raden has an archaeological open-air museum with holiday programs. The Baltic Sea, Schwerin and Wismar and Rostock are 30-45 minutes by car.
