You don't often come across a place like this on Airbnb. The more than 130-year-old log cabin in the cultural heritage landscape of Suvanto takes its residents on a time travel to a 19th century village in the far north of Finland. The property is best suited for a friend of Lapland's nature, history and silence, who is not afraid of the dark in winter or mosquitoes in summer. Please note: there is no public transportation to the village, no toilet in the main building, nor a shower. There is a separate sauna building outside and a traditional outhouse behind the sauna.

The cottage has original charm, with a new beautiful interior. Good kitchen. You can sleep downstairs or in the loft. The stairs to the loft are steep. The cottage has wifi, a 43" TV and the radio has a bluetooth connection. The fireplace is not in use. The cottage has a good sauna, washing machine and drying cabinet. Linen and final cleaning are included in the price.

If you're comfortable on your own and enjoy a simple life in the middle of nature, this stay is for you. Here you will enjoy the quiet and darkness. If you're lucky, you'll get to admire the Northern Lights from the home yard. In the immediate vicinity of the cottage you can fish, hunt and hike. We rent snowshoes. There is a lean-to and a nature trail nearby. We will help you find program services.

The cottage has been renovated to modern standards and has a well-equipped kitchen. Downstairs bedroom with a double bed and wardrobe. Upstairs, there is another double bed and a workstation. In addition, the cottage has a fireplace, sauna, washing machine and clothes drying cabinet. In the courtyard of the cottage there is a campfire place for outdoor bonfires.

Our authentic timber lodges are private owned by our family. The location is amazing, right in the middle of Pyhätunturi Lapland, 50 m from the slopes, ski tracks and restaurants and 150 m from the grocery store and national park. The lodges are comfortable and simply furnished having a private entrance, kitchen and bathroom perfect for independent travelers. The garden is safe also for small children.
