Holiday rentals with lake access in Schoolcraft County

Perfect host and location. Only a one night stop but would happily have stayed longer! Beds really comfy and house has everything you need. So sweet like a gingerbread house but much bigger on the inside!

I had an incredible stay at this beautiful house near the lake! The location is absolutely stunning, nestled right in the middle of nature, providing a sense of peace and tranquility that far exceeded my expectations. The photos on Airbnb don't do justice to how calm and beautiful this place truly is. The host (spencer) was exceptionally helpful and responsive, ensuring that everything was in perfect order for our stay. We faced no issues at all, and every little detail was taken care of, making our experience completely stress-free. If you're looking for a serene getaway, this is the place to be. Highly recommended!

This property is not to be missed if you want a private, peaceful getaway on a beautiful sand beach. The weather we enjoyed was perfect and the sunrises and sunsets were beyond AMAZING!! At night, the stars lit up the sky as we sat on the beach by the firepit and just relaxed while reviewing our day. There is a grocery store and some restaurants in Manistique for food, about a 12-15 minute drive. Nice central location to explore and we were able to make day trips to Pictured Rocks, Marquette, Mackinac Island, and some other local attractions. The kitchen is well stocked and appliances are new, beds are comfortable with good linens, home is very clean, downstairs is cozy, upstairs is bright and light. No AC and we did have to break out the fans in the master which gets the most sunlight, but the cool nights would cool things down again. Highly recommend and would stay again!!

We only stayed for a night between destinations… but it was wonderful! Super clean, cute decor, and great location on the river. Amy was very communicative and helpful. Very prompt responses and gave local recommendations when asked.

It is a beautiful place on the water and we couldn’t have asked for a more quiet vacation. We spent some time driving to local places all the way to the porcupine mountains but we also enjoyed time on the lake. We will definitely be back. Bob and Sarah were extremely friendly and responded very quickly if we had any questions but they had everything set up that we needed. We loved our stay.

A hidden getaway with the perfect movie setup for feeling a good mesh between home theater and vacationing! The wrap around couch, stacks of popcorn and plethora of streaming services was exactly what we wanted for a Christmas getaway as a family! The beautiful views captured our attention non-stop, even during the winter! Lastly, we were blessed with snow on the first day that allowed for a snowman build on the beach! I highly recommend the beautiful escape that this lake house offers and look forward to getting more family to join us next trip! Thanks for blessing us with a great trip and wonderful Christmas away from home!

This is a charming place right on the lake. Great location for kids (shallow and gradual water depth in the lake). It can be difficult to find, so map it out ahead of time. Get gas at the nearest town before attempting to find it. The outside furniture is dated and could use an upgrade. The all weather outdoor cushions should probably be put away and brought out per use (so they stay nice). A propane fireplace on the deck would be a step up. Overall, I was happy with my stay. I hope to bring my family here again. There are other neighbors and houses next door to this place. I was unaware of this when booking. It wasn't an issue. but if you are expecting complete solitude-keep in mind that you will have neighbors. There is only one bathroom and the shower head pressure is weak. We love our showers, so we were a little bit dissapointed with that. Great location and a wonderful array of water toys (SUP boards, kayaks, peddle boat, and skif).

When we arrived we were so pleased with the space! It was beautiful and the quality of the home was apparent. The views were spectacular. The area was quite private and secluded; just what we were looking for. The space was perfectly sized and appointed for our group. We were disappointed by the following things, which we shared with the owner bc we couldn’t tell if it was a disrespectful guest, or things that had been overlooked by a cleaner. We discovered a broken plate placed carefully under the other dishes; coffee grinds and water in the coffee maker; and a multitude of dirty dishes, including pans, bowls, glasses, silverware, and plates. Again, this is not necessarily the owners fault, but for the cost, we wanted to be sure they knew how we found things bc we didn’t expect to have to wash all of our dishes before using them! We were careful to follow all checkout rules and leave the space neat and tidy. Can’t beat the beautiful sunsets and views.

We stayed here for a family snowmobile weekend in February and it was exactly what we wanted. Very nice place right on the lake and close to the snowmobile trail. Close to Midway General Store and a short drive to Kitchitikipi and Munising. Loved the Knotty Pine and Up North feel of the cabin. Jacqueline was very responsive and left detailed directions and recommendations. Would highly recommend.

The pictures don't do the cabin justice. This was more than we expected!!!! We slept like babies in the comfortable beds, took a nap in the breeze on day bed, relaxed on the porch and watched an eagle!! It's true you do have your own little peace of beauty as you enjoy a campfire- so peaceful. The pontoon was great, although we didn't catch any keeper's we sure did have fun trying. We really enjoyed our stay!!! Thank You

Our stay was rejuvenating. Walking almost a deserted sandy beach each day was very peaceful...we met only 2 dogs and 1 person! The water was refreshing, but warm enough ha!, that we were able to swim in Lake Michigan at the beginning of October! The sunrises were gorgeous accompanied by the sound of the waves. The cottage was interesting to find, but directions were spot on. Accomodations had everything we needed.

We had a great stay, our second in two years. We love the feeling of being out in nature and the sense of privacy. This year our “neighbors” were two bald eagles we saw on the beach every morning while watching the sun rise over Lake Michigan. Some practical things to consider: the nearest grocery store is Jack’s in Manistique. Best to stop there before you arrive, it’s more than a short drive. And, take them seriously when they tell you to arrive during daylight! I wouldn’t want my first drive down the single-track access lane to be in the dark! If I were planning to stay there in the winter, I would check with the management company first to make sure my vehicle was up to it. When we arrived we found the EV charger not working, but we contacted the management company and they worked hard to make it right in less than 24 hours, even though it was a weekend.

The view on the lake was wonderful! the house was a great size. Two bedrooms and Two nice size full bathrooms. there was a path to the water from which to see the beautiful sunsets! They had everything we needed.

This was my first trip to the UP and it did not disappoint. The home is secluded and the sunrises and sunsets are beautiful. I would highly recommend this home! Nicholas is also super responsive and proactive which I appreciate a lot.
