Casa do Rio Alva is a very special place with private access to the river! Our country house is located in the village of Secarias in the heart of the nature of central Portugal, 4 km from the village of Arganil and 55 km from the city of Coimbra. Exploring the Alva River from our home is a unique experience, where the following stand out: avocets, bees, kingfishers, crows, swallows, foxes, field mice, frogs, toads and snakes, numerous fish such as bass, bogas and carp, but also trout and eels.

A multitude of historic sights and outdoor activities are catered for in the surrounding area.

Excellent for a couple or an individual who loves the simplicity, purity and silence of nature. The house includes an open kitchen and living room, a 11 m2 mezanine for sleeping, an outside shower, compost toilet in a 5000 m2 forest garden with granit boulders, natural structures, sculptures and chillout places.

This property consists of 2 independent bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a combination kitchen and living room. The rooms have no connection to the interior of the house. The Cantinho Pitoresco is a space conceived from a century-old house, totally remodeled, maintaining the original features and rustic characteristics of the buildings of this region (namely the display of much of the original stone) associated with the most modern equipment, so that comfort and functionality are words that remain in the memory of those who pass through our house.

Casa medieval, de origem judaica (pensa-se que pode ter origem nos judeus sefarditas que foram expulsos de Espanha em 1492 pelos Reis Católicos), inteiramente recuperada conservando por inteiro toda a sua originalidade. Apenas foi incorporada a inevitável modernidade mas nunca entrando em conflito com a sua arquitectura tradicional.

The Haystack

Panoramic View and Jacuzzi Palheiro is located in the village of Sobral Fernando and is a house dating back to 1936, all of which is built in schist stone. Recently restored, it offers a modern, welcoming environment while preserving the traces of times past. It has a Jacuzzi with water that can be heated on the panoramic balcony.
