This has been our favourite stay of Sri Lanka. Dileepa was so attentive, helpful and friendly, always there to assist. The room and balcony is beautiful with amazing views across the jungle. Don’t be put off by the distance into town - it’s so worth it for this slice of paradise. Thank you Dileepa and family!!! 🥹🤗

The house was very beautiful, amazing views of the lake Gregory, mountains and perfect spot to view sea plane landing. Our family loved it. Kitchen could be equipped more with spoons, utensils etc. Pradeep and his Mom were very helpful. Bathroom could be more clean and glass doors need to be revamped as the water came out while taking shower. Perfect house for our Christmas gateway. Thanks.

We stayed 5 nights at Cecilia Cottage and did not want to leave once our time was up. A beautiful and peaceful apartment that felt homely right away. The host sharmini went above for all our requests and made our stay very special. I can’t wait to visit again. Thank you very much for everything!

What an adventure. We were a group of friends with people of all ages and everyone loved the space. It’s not a child friendly place but kids (and everyone else) loved the surroundings,birds and views. We hiked to the neighboring hill and were rewarded with amazing views. The hosts are very attentive and dealt with any issues proactively. It’s not an easy location but one worth making the effort to get to. The house is beautiful and rustic. An outdoor bathroom isn’t the most practical but somehow adds to the house and we can see how it would be great on the summer. The kitchen had everything we needed, we cooked all our meals with ease, and the local housekeeper is perfect if you prefer not to cook, in fact having her cook for you is a great way of empowering her to create a better life for herself and her family. Jody and Punyaka were always responsive and we hope to have the chance to visit again, it’s not an experience we will easily forget! Don’t miss Diyaluma falls (take swimsuit).

Wonderful stay. First I asked for the address, in response I got that we were picked up from the train station in Ella. The Treehouse is very nicely located in nature, but it is difficult to reach on its own. However, this is not a problem as we were picked up (free!) from the train station. For any other activities, we had the driver Sugala, with whom we visited a secret waterfall. One of the most beautiful experiences of our vacation, even if this waterfall is only recommended to people who like to go a little more challenging. This made us almost the only people in the pool under the waterfall. Ask at the hotel for Sugala, he became more of a friend than just a driver for us within a day. He knows the area like no other and can show you everything. The room was very cozy and the view from the roof terrace is fantastic. Essen was also great. The host was also very kind and was always able to help. Clear recommendation!

Our best find in Sri Lanka. Hosts, Michael & Ruwanthi are so friendly & helpful, going out of their way to make sure we had a truly wonderful time. Glyn Myu is beautiful, luxurious & very comfortable. The location is quite simply breathtaking. Ruwanthi is an incredibly talented cook serving exquisite meals with most ingredients gathered from her extensive garden. Her knowledge of the dietary & medicinal properties of her homegrown larder is very impressive. She is also delighted to share her passion & knowledge. A Sri Lankan gem where we felt welcome, relaxed & immediately at home. They have a very informative website with contact details!
