The place was as advertised and the host was very helpful at all times i highly recommend this place

Anne's place is like combination historical museum and art gallery. It's quirky and comfortable. Enjoyed hours out on the balcony; watching two fog banks come together under Edmund Pettus Bridge at sunset was extraordinary. Had problem with AC the first night; Beth got right on it and had HVAC people there and problem fixed before 9 a.m. the next day, even though it was the weekend. Fans in the meantime kept me cool enough. They were good about answering questions, and always pleasant. If I ever return to Selma, I want to stay at the Bridge Tender's House again. If you go, don't miss photos in bedroom that show the original bridge that the tender tended. One photo shows edge of front porch of the house, practically on top of the bridge. Another is wording of newspaper article cautioning people to not drive or ride their horse across the original bridge at any speed faster than a walk. Tender had authority to arrest people who violated that local law.

Great place to stay! We were just passing through for one night, and will definitely use them again if driving through. Pre-warning though— the keypad on the door will automatically lock after a minute or so. Ask me how I know 🤣 phone, wallet, keys, everything was in the room behind the locked door, and I couldn’t remember the door code. Luckily I had a tablet with cell service in my car to look up the door code again. 🤣 Thank you Anthony for being a great and responsive host! Super clean place with simple instructions.

Regina’s apartment was an excellent base for our quick trip to Selma for the 60th anniversary of the bridge crossing. The neighborhood of historic homes is very nice. Regina was a very friendly and communicative host and even wrote to me ahead of time to let me know of her relaxation of her cancellation policy.

The best experience I’ve ever had at an Air BnB.. The host and the young lady that cleans the location are the best!! I highly recommend this location..
