Holiday rentals in Sentinel Mesa

We stayed in the Mother Earth Hogan in sight of the most famous portion of monument valley. Roslyn was there in person and spent time with us at our fireside and then made us breakfast and gave us an inspiring and outstanding presentation on Navajo history and culture. I wish I had stayed more than one night - cannot recommend highly enough.

It was an amazing house to have a girls trip in! We all loved the many personal touches. We had a wonderful time and cannot wait to stay there again!

What a wonderful little home! Tiny but so cute and efficient, and surrounded by such lovely views! Our family of four did just fine in the space and cooked two simple dinners with no problem. We loved sitting outside and gazing at the view, or walking past the fantastic rock formations behind the house and down to the great Twin Rocks Cafe for lunch, or down to the Bluff Historic Fort. Some of us even went running down along the river. The hosts were wonderful, very helpful with tips, and I really appreciated their love and concern for the nature surrounding them. On our trip through the hot and dry country of Arizona, Utah and New Mexico, this was the only Airbnb we stayed in where we could hang our clothes up to dry outside. It was a wonderfully peaceful place to rest in a stunning landscape before continuing our journey.

This is a truly unique experience with scenery like nothing else. As long as you know what you’re in for- no running water, an outhouse and a dirt floor- you’ll have a lovely time. The beds are comfortable and warm and with cold nights we really took advantage of the stove. The best way to get a hold of the hosts was to just knock on the door and they were happy to meet all our needs. There is electricity and a plug for charging phones which we had not expected but were delighted to have. There is no key for the door- you leave it unlocked- and being city people we were unused to that. June assured us that our things would be perfectly safe and she was right. We loved watching the stars at night, tucking up cozy with the stove on when it rained, and following the family horses out to the road in the morning. Thank you to the family for this memorable experience.

Logement avec une vue incroyable sur Monument Valley , petit appartement cosy avec une tres belle décoration. L’environnement extérieur avec le petit jardin, la possibilité de faire un feu de bois rend la location encore plus fabuleuse. La salle de bain à l’extérieur n’est pas du tout un inconvénient. Le seul bémol serait qu’il manquerait un frigo. Sinon, rien à dire!

We loved our stay here. Brian and his wife were so kind and friendly, and we loved their dog! Really gorgeous spot, very quiet and close to a great hike. Will stay here again when we are in the area, best camping spot for Monument Valley! You’re super close to the park!

We had an awesome stay at the octagon house. Celia’s family were wonderful hosts. Breathtaking scenery from the site and an opportunity to see even more natural beauty on a nearby trail. Highly recommend for a special stay!

Clean, quiet and spacious. Easy access to Monument valley and beautiful surroundings. Close to grocery, gas and food.
