Dongchonjae is located in Seochon Village, very close to Gwanghwamun Square, the center of Gyeongbokgung Palace and Seoul. It consists of Anchae, Sarangchae, and Annex Room. Built in 1939, Dongchonjae It's not a fancy hanok. Seoul City and the government (Korea Tourism Organization) have recognized it as a traditional hanok. Dongchonjae has opened its home by a retired couple and has been operating since October 2020. Guests use 4 rooms, living room (Daecheongmaru), kitchen, 2 bathrooms (inside: shower available, outside: small but showerable), Numaru, and yard. The host lives in Sarangchae and provides breakfast and other services.
