This was our first time visiting Japan (we’re from Alaska!), and this kimono photoshoot in Kyoto was one of the highlights of our trip. Wearing traditional kimonos for the first time felt magical—the elegant patterns and peaceful setting near Hōkan-ji Temple (Yasaka Pagoda) made it unforgettable. Our photographer, Lim, was so kind and professional. He gave us helpful posing tips and gently guided us on where to look, which really helped us feel comfortable. The photos turned out beautifully and perfectly captured the charm of Kyoto. We’re so grateful for this memorable experience and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Japan!

Absolutely fantastic experience with Lim! The kimono shop staff were lovely, such a delight to be outfitted in such beautiful garments. Lim is a patient, fun and meticulous photographer with great talent. He had excellent locations and stories to go along with the journey, such a great memory to invest in for myself.
