Whispering Oak Secret Hideaway

Whispering Oak was lovingly built in 1908 by the Mothershed family. It is adorned by a massive Oak tree that holds a swing. We have divided the house into two private apartments. Secret Hideaway is on the right. There are 3 spacious rooms. Living/dining with adjoining kitchenette, large bedroom with closet with en-suite luxurious bathroom with walk in shower. There a lovely front porch with swing that provides amazing sunset views and a beautiful backyard with large covered portico.

Our house sits between Germantown and Downtown Memphis; about 20 minutes to most local attractions; easy access to restaurants, supermarkets and business districts. We are close to the FedEx St. Jude Golf Tournament at TPC Southwind, Germantown Country Club, and Ridgeway Country Club. Our house is in a beautiful and safe neighborhood. -Boasting a small hoofprint of 128 square feet with a loft. Ideally situated in a safe area for those visiting/passing through Memphis. -Tranquil views of open fields, horses, and a variety of other furry friends at a working horse boarding barn. -Stay solo or with someone you don't mind cozying up to. Ideal for mobile guests comfortable with stairs and tighter spaces. Locals or those without positive reviews will be rejected. Our property is non smoking.

Duplex attached to our house! Safe Memphis suburb!

Private outdoor entrance. There is no access from the main house to the duplex and vice versa. Private! No shared spaces, no hidden cleaning fees. This cozy duplex has a living room with kitchenette ( mini fridge, microwave) and a bathroom and is attached to our house. Sleeps 2 adults, and up to 2 small children. We don’t accept guests from Memphis and don’t feel our property is right for romantic getaways considering we live next door and have kids and dogs

Located three minutes from the Whitten Rd exit on I-40, and less than 25 minutes from most of Memphis' major destinations including Graceland, Beale Street, Civil Rights Museum, Sun Studio, FedEx Forum, Bass Pro Shops at the Pyramid and the Memphis Zoo! Only a few minutes from Germantown Pkwy, Ikea, Wolfchase Mall, and all the shopping!
