Apartment holiday rentals in Shetland Islands

We had a fantastic time on Bressay, I'm very happy I chose this little island over the mainland, it was peaceful and quiet with breathtaking scenery and still very close to Lerwick & the big shops. The apartment itself was perfectly located within the island: a very short walking distance from the local café, shop & play park downhill - and a little longer, but lovely walk to isle of Noss uphill, ferry to the mainland wasn't too far either, around about 30-40 mins walk... Kim was incredibly nice and helpful offering us lifts & taking our luggage down to the ferry port on our last day! The apartment was perfect for our needs: lots of green area outside, lovely fresh air, beautiful surroundings, stunning views from the terrace, spacious rooms, comfortable bed & armchairs, lovely modern bathroom (++Shetland 🧼 Co toiletries 😍), compact well equipped modern kitchen. I'd love to return, thanks so much for everything Kim & Lindsay!

My partner and I had a great stay in the apartment feeling like it was a very nice and cozy space to return to after the day out exploring Shetland! The book provided by the owners showed us restaurants to visit as well as pamphlets containing things to do around the island. The apartment itself had great amenities such as washing machine, dishwasher and everything we would need for the weekend stay. We would highly recommend to people visiting Shetland - it’s close to the ferry’s and within the centre of Lerwick so you can easily walk around to get where you need to go. Brilliant place to stay with amazing views! The apartment was pristine and had everything we needed, and Kim was lovely and welcoming - even being super accommodating with a late check out to give us time to do the Bressay parkrun. Would highly reccomend!

With friendly, helpful hosts and a cosy, warm atmosphere, this one of the best places we’ve stayed. From the breathtaking views to the comfy and beautifully equipped accommodation with its warm and relaxing spa, Niki and Piet have created a true oasis of tranquility in a hectic world. While Shetland itself was even better than we’d hoped for, our trip was made truly special with our stay at Voortrekker.

This apartment is one of the best Airbnbs we have stayed in. Easy street parking and a very short walk into Lerwick centre. The apartment was spotlessly clean with plenty of cutlery, crockery. We would recommend it to anyone visiting Shetland.

Very cosy, clean and well equipped apartment in a calm area of town (but just a 5 min walk from the old town centre). Robert and Ann were lovely, very responsive and helpful hosts. I enjoyed my stay very much and can wholeheartedly recommend this place to other guests.

We loved our stay at Laureen & Tony's place. Tony went above & beyond to welcome us.. a top bloke! The flat was perfectly clean & very cosy. Bed was comfy and it was very quiet at night. Flat was perfectly placed & in walking distance from shops & pubs...it had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. Highly recommend 👌

Perfect location for exploring the Shetland Isles and mainland. We were lucky enough to be there when the RNLI had their 4th shout of 2025 and had the perfect spot to watch the launch.

We had a very comfortable stay in Angela’s flat. It was very cold out & a pleasure to come back to a cozy house. The flat is well equipped including washing machine, dishwasher & plenty street parking. Conveniently situated for town & Tesco! Would definitely stay again.

I loved staying in the Weaving Shed studio - I loved its privacy and peacefulness. It is in a beautiful area and I was able to go to Eshaness twice to see the place in different weather. The nearby beach was also a delight. Thanks to all the facilities in the flat and a well-stocked shop just across the road I was able to be self-sufficient. NCDC staff were very responsive and the Northern Lights alert messages were an extra sweet touch - many thanks. I'd love to visit the place again, and as an artist I would use it for self-directed residency.

In the heart of Lerwick......everything is within walking distance in minutes. Small, new, clean apartment with a bedroom upstairs and the living room-kitchen downstairs. Views of Commercial Street. The kitchen is full stocked if you want to prepare meals. Minimalist interior design. Dedicated rental unit - not someone's house.

I stayed with Neil and Gina about 18 months ago and the place looked like it was brand new super clean and very well stocked - the best abb hosts I’ve ever had. Highly recommend.

This is a really well presented flat, close enough to walk in to town and great view where you can sit and watch the ferries go in and out. Large free car park next door so easy to park. We had everything we needed

I had a fantastic stay, it really suited my visit to Shetland. Great location for exploring the islands. The apartment was spacious, spotlessly clean, well equipped and very comfortable and Laureen was great at communication re check in and check out. Exceeded my expectations - I was expecting it to be good but it was perfect.

This apartment was very well situated for everywhere we wanted to go. It was warm, spotlessly clean and well equipped. We have holiday homes ourselves so our standards are high. This ticked all the boxes. Highly recommend

We were extremely pleased with our apartment at Nort Bode. Spotlessly clean, fully catering to all our needs and a superb location as a base to explore Lerwick and further afield. Our host was very welcoming and nothing was a problem. Dawn and her family take so much pride in there business it is commendable. If we ever return to Shetland we wouldnt hesitate to stay again. Highly recommend.

Easy walk into central Lerwick Best to book chosen restaurant if planning to eat out. Parking was immediately outside on quiet street. Would happily recommend for cleanliness and convenience. Old black and white photos of Shetland scenes were a nice touch.
