A wonderful stay almost in the heart of Shillong, very friendly staff who took care of everything. They provided great recommendations and helped us book taxis to other places around Shillong. The food was amazing. The place has a lot of character and style. I would recommend The Anchorage to anyone at any time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The location is excellent – central and with many restaurants close by. The room was very clean, well equipped and comfortable. We also got warm blankets and a heater as we were there in the winter. The staff were always friendly and helpful, and we really appreciated the service. Breakfast was fresh and varied. Another highlight was the cozy atmosphere of the hotel – you immediately feel welcome. We highly recommend the guesthouse and would be happy to come back!

Location: Perfect for us. We were in Shillong for the NH7 Weekender. So we wanted something located close to the bus stop and shuttle drop off points. It's about a 20 minute walk to Police Bazaar and say about 30 min walk to SRGT bus stop. 2 minute walk from Barik bus stop, which was a BIG help cause we got back from the venue after midnight. Place: Room and attached bathroom are super clean. Breakfast is served in the morning and being a big eater I was definitely not left wanting. Completely worth it. Plus, it's very very rare to have a host make the effort to serve you something different every morning. We definitely appreciated the effort and care. Host: Very welcoming, helpful and warm. Trust me, you'll feel right at home here. Go ahead and book.

I had a memorable stay at Emily and Sankrita's place. The place is a luxury given that it is located in a village and has every amenities one can look for in this budget. Sankrita is the sweetest host I have ever met. She and her team went out of their way to make my stay comfortable, always ready to respond to every demand. Sankrita also took me to nearby places of interest and cooked awesome food. The location is a bit remote, and the roads not so good. but it is totally worth it because of the genuine and kind hospitality of the host and the arrangements. Emily took care of all the initial communications. It was my "home" away from home, for those days and Sankrita made it possible. 💕 I cannot thank her enough for everything.

Quintessentially Shillong, the Anchorage is just the perfect BnB if you want to stay in Shillong. The rustic interiors, the vibrant garden, the affable staff and the regal host - the Anchorage was a very pleasant surprise. My stay was amazing and I was very well taken care of, would love to visit again.

The pictures do no justice to the beauty that this place is. Each corner of this building and the rooms are Insta-worthy. Beautiful, quaint and very tastefully done. Hospitality is excellent. You will be welcomed by the very warm Ranjan who will meet all your requests with a smile. Also, if you are a pet lover- you will get to see the Owner's 5 adorable dogs basking in the mellow evening sun- who will come and greet you with their wagging tails. Overall, the place is quite well located, clean and a pleasure to stay in. We stayed for three days and we don't have a single complaint. It is perfect!

Very nice cozy stay away from all the hustle bustle of the city. Easy recommendation for anyone looking for a stay in a quiet place.

It was a wonderful stay at the anchorage. I visited with my mom. Loved the old gothic feeling and ambience of the place. The caretaker and other staffs were very helpful. Recommend this place highly for those like me who wants to have that old feeling like a romance novel from 19th century.

Tucked a few kms away from Police bazaar, this property gives you a peaceful and quiet surrounding area. There is a sort trek nearby which was good way to start the day. The caretaker was very helpful and accomodating. Clean rooms and bathroom. Very good property all around.

we loved our 2 days stay at Shairiti's place and wish we had stayed longer. It felt like a home away from home. Shairiti was very responsive and accommodating. Jasper who was there all the time to help us out with our requirements is a great guy and very friendly in nature. I'll recommend her place for anyone who is looking for a peaceful stay, maybe for readers or writers this would be an ideal place to be. Additionally the food that we had was very gourmet and the breakfasts were scrumptious and healthy.

Had a lovely and peaceful stay at Reuben’s property. The house was tucked away in a very quiet area with easy accessibility to the city - a best of both worlds. Reuben and his team were extremely proactive and caring and were very helpful in guiding us around Shillong. Highly recommend!

I’m thrilled I found Rachel’s homestay! It felt like home, with spotless rooms and a clean bathroom. They even have a heater and a geyser for hot showers. The food is delicious and authentic. They have bikes and scooters for rent, and the place is surrounded by two adorable furry friends who’ll shower you with love. The caretakers are super sweet, and a special shoutout to Shine! I met Ashley on the last day of my stay, and I’m so glad I did. He’s a biker and traveler with a wealth of knowledge about the Northeast region. He organizes unique trips and tours that you won’t find anywhere else. Last but not least, Rachel is an amazing and caring person who makes sure you’re always comfortable and happy. I absolutely felt like home! She went above and beyond to help me plan my itinerary and make sure my stay was peaceful and enjoyable. She even arranged cabs for me at odd times! So, with no second thought, BOOK THIS PLACE RIGHT NOW!

Very clean rooms and lavish property with an operational swimming pool. Caretaker was super helpful and helped us in any way possible at any time. Super thanks to the caretaker Mr Kennedy sir for such a wonderful and joyful experience. Highly recommended stay and will for sure will come here next time as well.
