Founded in 1957, my grandfather, Eiichi Tanuchi, ran an inn called Aiwasho for the cultural development of Tanabe City, Wakayama Prefecture. In order to continue to protect its history and traditions, his granddaughter, Kiushuko, reopened the inn under its original name in 2021. Built on the site of Ueno Castle, this inn is a traditional Japanese house with tatami mats on the floor. Please relax in one of the two Japanese-style rooms. The inn is located on a hill overlooking the city of Tanabe, so you can enjoy the morning sun, sunset, and night view. On a calm day, we recommend having tea in a wicker chair on the edge of the hinoki cypress wooden deck, which was made in the image of the moon viewing platform of the Katsura Imperial Villa. The newly installed bath and toilet are spacious and barrier-free, so you can bathe together or use them easily even if you need assistance. We installed popin.aladdin (lighting with projector) in one of the Japanese-style rooms. It projects on the sliding doors You can watch TV, music, movies, etc. Enjoy BGM on YouTube before you go out in the morning. My parents, Kisaku and Shuko Tanai (Japanese), live next to the house, so please let me know if you need anything.

Tenjinzaki is an inn within a 15-minute walk to Tenjinzaki, which is called Uyuni Salt Lake in Wakayama. Although it is also famous for its haunted fishing spots, Tenjinzaki is famous for the beautiful reflection of the water accumulated in the rocky reef, making it a view like Uyuni Salt Lake. It's a popular place to take beautiful photos. It has also been selected as the "100 Sunsets and Sunsets in Wakayama Prefecture" by the Wakayama Prefecture Tourism Federation, and the sunset over the offshore is very beautiful. You can enjoy three bedrooms, multiple families, friends, clubs, etc. You can feel close to nature in Tenjinzaki. Ogahama, where you can enjoy swimming in the summer, is a 10-minute drive. The entire house is rented to only one group at a time (the price will be added depending on the number of people). It can accommodate up to 8 people in a 16-tatami mat (2 rooms with 8 tatami mats each) living room and bedroom and a 6-tatami mat bedroom. "MINE-no-Yado" Mine own house is a small Japanese style cottage in Mine village where includes Takijiri-oji, the entrance to the sacred mountains of Kumano. The house is at an elevation of 300m. You can enjoy a panoramic view of Kumano mountains, a wonderful starry night and even sea of clouds.
