Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Skaftárhreppur

We had an amazing stay in the lakeside cabin! The cabin is so cute and the view is beautiful! Our five-year old had a blast staying there and exploring the surroundings. Friðrik was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

A unique experience in touch with Icelandic nature! We were a group of 8 people and we had the two cabins with rooms all for us. Beautiful landscape when you wake up in the morning and then the common room is truly a gem: piano, guitar and board games. The bathroom separated from the rooms is the only drawback, but you accept it for everything else, such as the sauna :) the kitchen is not very clean and there is little lighting available in thatarea. I would definitely spend an extra night there. Highly recommended for large groups!

The place is located well if you're heading up the east coast - good proximity to the town, and a good location for a night or two stopover. The location just off the main road was nice and easy to get to, and the place was super clean and comfortable. Nice views from all around as well.

We travel a lot and have used numerous airbnb's or vrbo's. Agusta's "cabin" is easily in our top 3 ever. It was amazing! Lots of space. Well appointed. Fantastic kitchen and living area. Thought of everything. Loved, loved, loved it. Only slight negative is the long gravel road (+/- 10 mins) to get to the place, but if you want seclusion and darkness for the northern lights, that is an easy price to pay. The town of Vik is 30 to 40 minutes away. That is where you'll find the restaurants and grocery store, so plan ahead. Special bonus was introducing my children to a vinyl record player with a good selection of albums.

Super cute house. Location is very private with beautiful views through the large windows. Arna was a perfect host—very proactive and responsive. The house was spotlessly clean and well stocked with cooking supplies and shampoo and soap. It felt like home. The bunk bed mattresses were a bit thin and stiff and the linens were scratchy, but I still slept well after long days of hiking. It would have been nice to have a hot tub and a clothes dryer, although when we washed our clothes the drying rack got most of our clothes dry overnight. I highly recommend Arna and her very cute house in its beautiful surroundings!

Very good description to find. Clean, flexible heating, plenty of towels and soap. Overall, what we needed for our family to relax in the area.

We loved our stay in Vík. Ragnar and Edda are amazing people who care so much about guests feeling comfortable with their stay. The cottage has everything you need, inside and out. There are hikes nearby, beach walks 1min away, and the town of Vík is no more than 10min away. The cottage is a very peaceful place, going to sleep and waking up while hearing the sound of the waves. We look forward to spending our time there again someday.
