Castleton is lucky to have two great pubs The Downe Arms with fabulous food and atmosphere right across the road and The Eskdale which serves lovely ‘fine dining food’ but also lovely just for a drink. Secret Garden Hideaway occupies one of the most secret locations in the Centre of Whitby at Summer Hills, with a private garden accessed from the St Hildas Terrace behind a stone wall at the top of Flowergate it has guests returning to this wonderful location. Kitchen (kettle, toaster, cooker, microwave, fridge freezer) hair dryer, TV, DVD, shower/jacuzzi bath, towels, wifi, bed linen, iron, 1 double bed & a sofa bed downstairs, 2 twin beds & single bed upstairs. Parking directly outside.

Sleights is a gem of a village on the outskirts of Whitby and at the foothills of the Moors. You will stay in a beautiful airy converted self contained studio which has its own entrance and is part of a large Victorian Villa (there are steps leading down into the garden - may not be suitable for those with limited mobility). Guests will enjoy the privacy of the Hideaway with their own outside area. They can relax on the luxury Simba mattress that promises a good nights rest after a busy day.

Summerfield bungalow is located just outside the village of Hawsker, midway between Whitby & Robin Hood’s bay. The bungalow is private, detached, not overlooked & is spacious, bright with stunning views from every window. From the front you can see Whitby Abbey and harbour, from the side there’s a lovely view of All Saints church approx 20 metres away & from the rear there are uninterrupted views of the Yorkshire countryside. The gardens extend to around a third of an acre and are secure.

Birch House Farm

Birch House Farm is located within 12 acres of woodland and pasture. Hollyhock cabin has been finished to a high specification to give comfort all year round. We provide bed linen, towels and a welcome basket containing home grown and local produce. Ensuite shower facilities, heating, TV and a kitchen area (hob, kettle and microwave). There is a double hammock and a BBQ fire pit area outside. Perfect for a quiet break in the countryside. Couples only. No children. No dogs allowed.

The carriage is nestled in a field to the back of a working farm, surrounded by fantastic views and natural beauty, it is the perfect setting for a romantic getaway or relaxing evening following a days walk along the Cleveland Way. Children are welcome at the carriage and additional sleeping is available on the day bed in the living area.
