Vacation stay in the countryside, Vimmerby municipality

Free year-round accommodation out in the countryside with the forest next door. 500 m to the nearest neighbor and host. Close to lake, swimming and fishing. Possibility to borrow a boat. 25-30 minutes by car to Vimmerby, Astrid Lindgren's World and Bullerbyn. 35 minutes to Eksjö wooden town, about 12 km to Mariannelund. (nearest grocery store) Emils Katthult about 6 km. Among other things, two national parks, (Kvill and Skurugata), nearby with nice walking paths. Flea markets. Lovely nature outside the house for forest excursions or swimming and fishing.

Exception, cottage in rural setting

Welcome to our little cottage that we call Undantaget! The accommodation is located in the beautiful Småland village of Älö, 15 minutes from Vimmerby, ALV. Nearby are nice swimming areas. Undantaget is located on the edge of our plot, one side to a small garden with patio and the other side to an idyllic Småland cow pasture. The cottage is from the turn of the century and carefully renovated. Old windows, doors and floors are preserved. We who rent out Undantaget are called Elsa & Andreas, our two children and some Linderöd pigs also live here.

Large kitchen with all equipment you could wish for. You have four bedrooms where you can choose how to distribute your number of beds (two downstairs in the file and two separate upstairs). You will have the entire house by yourselves. Located in the area where some of Astrid Lindgren's films were recorded. Welcome with the request!

During your stay, you will experience the genuine Småland nature in peace and quiet and without crowds.

Relax with the whole family in this peaceful accommodation, with 10 minutes drive from Astrid Lindgren's World. The house is located in a nice surroundings on a farm with proximity to the forest and lake. The garden is big with plenty of room for play, but also quiet barbecue evenings. The accommodation with 8 beds + 1 (sofa bed) is fully equipped with a newly renovated kitchen, a smaller toilet on the entrance level and a bathroom with shower and toilet on the basement level. Here there is the opportunity for both relaxation and activity. Welcome!

Red Småland cottage, surrounded by quiet meadows and green fields. Only a stone's throw away is Astrid Lindgren's World, where fairy tales and childhood memories live on. Here you can enjoy the tranquility and the wonderful nature. On the farm, we have chickens and sheep that you can meet if you want. In the nature around the cottage, we have most Swedish animal species, moose, deer, roe deer, lynx, but also the sea eagle can be seen scouting for prey on meadows and fields. If you want to fish and swim, there are two lakes within a few kilometers.

Cottage in Djursdala - Bullebo

Stay at a charming little horse farm that offers a unique and scenic environment with its own garden. Located 15 minutes outside Vimmerby and Astrid Lindgren's World. Here is a newly renovated red little cottage with an annex, which together can accommodate up to six people. A short walk leads to a lake perfect for evening swimming, there is also a child-friendly swimming area with diving tower that is about five minutes away by car in Lake Juttern. Outside the junction is the Sevedeleden trail, which takes you to the Djursdalarunda.

Just outside Vimmerby city, you can stay in beautiful Djursdala in the large farmhouse Klocketorp. The village is a rural idyll known for its beautiful nature and is 13 km from Vimmerby. The accommodation can give you the opportunity to experience Astrid Lindgren's World and the places around it that are described in the author's books. Djursdala with its rolling hills, the hiking trail Djursdalarundan and the popular restaurant Musteriet is in itself a lovely place to enjoy. The 170 sqm house is perfect for a larger group.

A lovely little house with modern standards and a cosy fireplace in the middle of the Småland cultural landscape. Here you live with nature close at hand, surrounded by oak groves, meadows and 19th-century buildings - 25 minutes from Vimmerby and Astrid Lindgren's World. The magical Norra Kvill National Park, with great hiking opportunities, is 5 minutes from the house. A short walk from the house stands the 1000-year-old Kvilleken, and below the hill you will find a lovely little swimming lake.

Toys for both indoors and outdoors. Swing set, trampoline, etc. Bedroom with double bed and bunk bed. Sleeping loft with (partly) full ceiling height double bed, single bed and crib. 1 simpler bed to fold up if needed. There are blankets and pillows for 8 people. Bring bed linen and towels! AC.

The Skuru farm is close to Katth Katthult and here you rent your own house on the farm. 25-minute drive to Astrid Lindgren's World Perfect for guests looking for a peaceful and pleasant holiday in the countryside. In 2020, we renovated the kitchen, entrance hall and laundry room and also built a brand new bathroom on the ground floor. There is proximity to the lake with boat and swimming. Warm welcome!
