Cabin holiday rentals in Sommen

Stayed for one night in Kathy's nice farmhouse. Everything was smooth with booking and the house was great and everything felt fresh. Great location within walking distance to everything. Kathy responded quickly and everything felt safe. Extra plus for having breakfast at the adjacent hotel. We had a great time and would highly recommend a visit here!

Our stay was very pleasant! Nice off-grid cottage with plenty of space for yourself. The outdoor kitchen is very nice to use, fortunately we had nice weather for it. The toilet in the outdoor house is a bit cumbersome to have to go in the middle of the night, fortunately there was a smaller toilet in the cottage. The personal booklet with all the tips in the area was very nice, and we visited a number of things of this! Please note that no food or waste is stored outside because here the local fox does feel like it. We were startled by a hard blow, when the fox jumped on the countertop of the outdoor kitchen and wanted to go away with the empty green waste bin. The cottage is nicely decorated and there are also games available. We would love to come back again someday!

We had a very nice stay. We were looking for peace and nature and we got that. The jacuzzi was delicious! The property is composed of 2 cottages. We mainly used cottage 1. There we could sleep fine with 2 adults and 2 children. The loft is quite high and has a steep staircase. You have to be able to climb well. Our kids (6 and 8) loved it, but I wouldn't recommend it with small children. The cottage is not located directly on the water. You have to walk a little for this, but we didn't mind. Host lives on the property, but we did feel private! You can hike and bike beautifully from the cottage. Very nice area! We have come home fully rested!

We were very happy with our stay at the house. The pool and spa were great! Please note that the house is primitive and that you have to bend in several places due to low door frames. Really beautiful view from the house with lovely sunsets. Private grounds and you hardly notice the road right behind. You should probably buy bottled water, as the water in the tap has a fart taste.

An absolutely magical place where basically nothing is missing. Newport towels and linens of the best quality. We highly recommend this accommodation.

It was an amazing stay. Lena‘s place has everything needed to enjoy some days in the nature and relax. The house is decorated and everything is thought with lot of sensibility, so you have everything which can be needed. There are a lot of walkable paths to relax and close by plenty of natural parks to fish, walk and do picnics or bbq. Lena is an amazing host too, super attentive.

Very cozy cabin by the water. Everything was as described and worked. Made it an easy and enjoyable stay! Only downside is the noice from the big road close by, but if you can ignore that, this is a great option for a bigger group of people!

The place was very clean and comfortable during our stay. Especially the kitchen is well equipped - everything you need for a few days in Vimmerby. The nice cottage is also cleverly located for a visit to Astrid Lingrens Värld; you can walk there for about 25 minutes. The hosts were available and very accommodating and helpful.

We loved the house - it is big enough to room 2 families and within reasonable driving distance from Astrid Lindgren World. The house has a lot of history in itself and the family generations who lived there. The glass terrace is worth special praise as it provides hours of family time regardless of the weather. Well maintained garden and the lawn allow the kids to run around and come up with new outdoor activities. The hosts were particularly attentive to our remark that one could go mushroom hunting in the area - as where we live we are not spoiled by that - and brought us freshly picked aromatic chanterelles. We felt privileged that we could stay in the house and are very grateful for Swedish hospitality.

When we arrived at the cabin, we were met by Katarina who told us about what to do nearby. We also received clear instructions regarding the listing. Next, we step into a very tidy and cozy cabin. Here was everything you could possibly need and which is nice to not have to lug away from home. But also that little extra such as luxurious candy and nice Easter decorations. We have really felt welcome and enjoyed our stay. Katarina's cozy cabin is highly recommended.

Incredibly charming home that matched the description. Fresh decor in the cabin and Sophie was easy to communicate with. In addition, it was a peaceful location with nice views and extra cozy with the horses grazing around the cabin. Would highly recommend!

We spent one night in the beautiful cottage on our road trip. It is very quiet and the surrounding area is very nice. The outdoor shower is a real highlight, now I want one too. The dry toilet works well, it just takes a little getting used to but no problem. We'd love to come back and recommend it.

Maria is a lovely woman, with the coziest little cabin perfect for my friend and I. The train goes right outside the cabin - but not at night and thus not a concern. There is good heat in the cabin if you wanted to be there during colder periods.

The accommodation was just perfect. Helen was nice and very helpful.

We had a fantastic stay! The location was perfect, right by the lake, and we even had the chance to watch deer nearby. Our dog absolutely loved the garden. Christina was very helpful and friendly. We truly enjoyed the beautiful winter season and felt very comfortable throughout our stay.

The stay was fantastic - if you are looking for peace and relaxation, this is the place to be! We felt comfortable right away and could relax really well. Above all, the direct access to the private lake and the possibility to go by rowboat were beautiful. Åke is a great host! We will definitely be coming back!😍
