If you are lucky, you can also experience Cruise ships, King ships and large sailing ships, go by. Sandhornøy has a rich wildlife and just outside the lake house you can experience moose, deer, hares, otters, eagles and grouse. In the summer, Finnvikhaugen is the perfect place to experience the midnight sun and in winter you can experience the aurora borealis. There are great hiking trails and the possibility of a summit tour.

Guest apartment in great single-family home in quiet surroundings in the countryside, about three blocks by car from Bodø. Surrounded by forest, mountains and the sea. Close to sights such as Saltstraumen, Svartisen and Langsand on Sandhornøy. Good conditions for fishing all roads, ocean and water. Bedroom with large double bed. Sofa also possible for any 3rd person. Also movable guest bed. There are also available bedrooms in the other part of the building, but use of this must be specifically agreed upon.

Cabin in Gildeskål

Bring the whole family for cozy up in the main cabin at Cool Cabins, on beautiful Sandhornøy. Here you will find ready-made beds, and everything you would need for a nice stay. There is access to beach on the property, fishing opportunities, as well as plenty of hiking opportunities and excursions nearby. We recommend a trip to Elias Blix cafe, possibly for the perfect trip up Sandhornet (993 meters). And maybe the host can offer you guided tours by bike or boat, at a reasonable price.

Yacuzzi can be rented for an extra fee on 600,- for a weekend or 800,- by the week.
