There is a lovely walk around the local sand quarry with a stop off at the Waggon & Horses and if you fancy something longer you can head up to the cloud or the roaches. Honey bee, Coco, Arnold and Bertie are our gorgeous highland cattle that live in the field opposite the hut. (Don’t worry, there is a fence to keep them from joining you in the hot tub!) They really are incredible and will make your stay here one to remember.

Enjoy a stylish experience at this centrally-located cosy quarryman’s one bedroom cottage. Finished to an excellent standard through out, newly refurbished and fully equipped for all your needs. The property is in the heart of Groby Village close to local amenities and shops. Excellent travel links to the A50, A46 and M1 and a 5 minute drive from Groby pool, Martinshaw woods and Bradgate park. My place is great for a working professional couple or even a single person!

Beautiful secluded romantic lake house retreat

Located right on the water's edge of Rudyard Lake in a conservation area of the Staffordshire Moorlands, this bespoke boathouse conversion is an ideal romantic break for 2 in a very beautiful, quiet setting surrounded by woodland with perfect views up and down the lake. Although we can accommodate 4 in total, Inglenook boathouse is most suited for couples. The sofa bed is comfortable for up to two children but not suitable for two adults.
