Dance your way through Rio’s samba neighborhood

Experience Brazilian music up close as we dance our way through the Mangueira neighborhood, Rio’s traditional samba stronghold. • We’ll start with a guided visit through the National Museum of Samba, which preserves the history of Afro-Brazilian culture and music. • Next, we’ll visit the famous Quadra da Mangueira music school, where traditional drum rehearsals happen. The school has produced some of Rio’s greatest sambaistas. • We’ll end at Manga Bar, where we’ll share a meal of caipirinhas and my mother's feijoada. That’s when the drummers will start up and the roda de samba will begin, filling the room with good music and a lot of heat and swing. You'll have a rare chance to celebrate the soul of Mangueira, shoulder to shoulder with those who live samba passionately. I’m excited to share the true essence of Rio with you!

The idea is to choose together some options, based at the group mood. • We’ll finish our adventure at one of the chosen bars or back to our beloved Culto. You’ll leave with an understanding of the cultural and culinary significance—and the many delights—of Rua Arnaldo Quintela. All selected bars have an election of vegan tapas and drinks, but also non vegan options.

Taste Rio’s flavors with an artisanal ice cream maker

I’m excited to welcome you to Sorvetiño, my ice cream shop in the iconic Copacabana neighborhood, where I’ll be bringing back the distinct flavors of our “Love Letter to Rio” Collection for this experience. • We’ll begin with a blind taste test of four unique carioca ice cream flavors, each inspired by a classic beverage from the city: mate with lemon, guaravita, caipirinha, and passionfruit batida. • After taking your guesses for each sample, I’ll reveal the flavors, and we’ll enjoy shots of the original drinks that inspired the frozen treats. Guests under 18 can participate, and instead of the alcoholic flavors, they will receive an extra portion of the two non-alcoholic options. At the end of the experience, you’ll choose your favorite flavor to take home with you, along with a Sorvetiño sticker and poster.

After observing my training session, you’ll have a chance to play by my side. • At the famous Leblon Beach, you’ll be welcomed by a member of Brazilian Olympic staff. After a fun icebreaker, you’ll have a chance to mingle and take in the stunning views. • Watch me train, gaining insight into my training methods throughout the session as well as the intensity and dedication required for top-tier global competition. • Step onto the sand and play in a friendly match with me. Whether you’re new to the sport or have some experience, I’ll provide tips and make sure the game is fun for everyone. We’ll close with a photo session. You’ll leave with firsthand experience of training for and playing beach volleyball at an elite level.

Get to know Rio main attractions

In this experience, we will pick you up from your home* and take you to get to know the most important points of the city. We will begin immediately by visiting Christ the Redeemer (ticket included), to avoid queues and take the best photos; then the neighborhood of Santa Teresa, an artistic area with its exclusive tram and then the Selarón Staircase, one of Rio's most famous sights. From there we will go to the Metropolitan Cathedral, a unique building in downtown Rio. Afterwards, we visited Maracana Stadium from outside. We stop for lunch** * right after. After lunch we go to visit the Parque Lage. Parque Lage is a historic and cultural park located at the base of Corcovado Mountain in Rio de Janeiro. While it is an independent site with its own history and attractions, Parque Lage is part of the Tijuca National Park, a vast protected area that includes one of the world’s largest urban rainforests. At the end you have two options: we can take you back home or drop you off at Pão de Açúcar (Sugar Loaf) (ticket not included), where you can take a cable car up to the top of this magnificent hill. *Pick up and drop off in some areas of Rio's south zone. Sunset Sailboat Tour in Rio de Janeiro

The tour starts at the middle of the afternoon at the pier in Urca near to Bar urca. We will sail by the Fortress of São João, Fortress Laje and Fortress Santa Cruz, and close to the Island of Boa Viagem in Niterói. There will be one stop point at Adão e Eva beach or Praia Vermelha, perfect for picture taking and if you are interested to swim! Then we will pass by the Museum of Contemporary Art and sail back with the amazing view of the sunset on the horizon. There are gorgeous views of Sugar Loaf and Christ the Redeemer throughout the ride, as they are central to the scenery of Rio's coast. The tour finishes after the sunset to make the most of this amazing view of the city. Other things to note You must bring your camera, sunscreen, swimsuit and flip flops.

Sailing at sunset in Rio de Janeiro

We will meet at 2:45pm at the small pier of Urca beach to gather the group and board. The boarding is done with a support boat that will take you to the sailboat and sometimes it may be necessary to get your feet wet. I will be your host and hope you feel at home, everyone is welcome! Our experience begins in the urca. From there we will go to the beaches of Adam and Eva, in Niterói, we will make a stop for sea bathing and a snack will be served with tropical fruits, sandwiches, chocolates and caipirinhas. Throughout the tour we will have beers, soda, iced mate and water available to be shared. We will sail in the Bay of Guanabara, passing the fort São João, Fort Lage and Fort Santa Cruz, located at the entrance of Guanabara Bay, Adam and Eva Beach, Morro do Bat, Museum of Contemporary Art and Ilha da Boa Viagem, on the city side of Niterói, Flamengo Park and botafogo cove, returning to Urca. We will enjoy the sunset sailing, heading back to the landing point. Rio de Janeiro can be even more stunning experienced by the waters of Guanabara Bay, so get ready to get to know a different angle from the most beautiful landscapes in the city. The Best Carioca Surf Experience

We will surf on the beach that has the best surfing condition for your experience, skill and fitness level. Macumba Beach is usually a great option since its geography provides an excellent condition for surfing whether you are a beginner from zero experience, intermediate or even advanced level in the practice of the "sport of kings". Before or after the surfing session, we will discover a special place that may surprise you! Our experience can last 4 hours or more and will be divided between the displacement from the meeting point to the beach, equipment preparation, talk, warm up and surfing session. Then we will know some special place in the west side of the city (there are many). After that, we'll take a break to replenish our energy in a snack bar or restaurant that suits your taste. Certainly after this class you will be getting to know a little more about the sea, its currents, origin and formation of waves, surf history and surf culture in general. Note: the order of activities can be modified by doing the tour first and then surfing. Other remarks. Come rested, well fed and in a good mood.
