“Darryl and Deb exceeded our expectations. Darryl picked us up from the airport (even during a busy traffic time!) and then let us drop our things and took us straight to the grocery store. It was so nice to get settled in right away and to have them available for local questions. They were fantastic with our 8 year old and even remembered him asking about a view of the island- he took us to a great spot on our way back to the airport ☺️. I wondered if the reviews were too good to be true, but they followed through on everything written 🙌. The location was super convenient as it’s just steps from the beach, snorkeling and the beach bar/restaurant. The fish tacos at the beach bar are great too. You won’t regret this stay.”
Located on the cool Northside of St. Thomas, our home looks out over a large flat-ish yard & a panoramic view of Magen's Bay, the Atlantic Ocean, and 20 small islands. Your unit has a private entrance 5 steps down from your dedicated parking space.
“My boyfriend and I just finished up an amazing week in Dean and Melissa's place. We loved St. Thomas and this was the perfect place to stay while exploring the USVI! The apartment is spacious and clean. Dean and Melissa provided beach towels, chairs, and noodles that we brought to the beach every day. The view from the deck is breathtaking. At night you can hear various birds and creatures all around you, making you feel like you are really in nature. We woke up to the roosters every morning. Dean and Melissa were also great hosts, providing us with recommendations on local beaches and restaurants. We would definitely recommend renting a car to explore the island. We enjoyed spending time at Magen's Bay and Lindquist Beach. One day we took the ferry to Water Island, rented a golf cart, and went to Honeymoon Beach, which was so beautiful and so fun. We would definitely recommend taking the ferry to St. John for a day. It was easy for us to bring a car over (we made a reservation for the 9 am ferry the evening before). In St. John we went to Trunk Bay, Hawksnest Beach, and Cinnamon Beach. They were all incredibly beautiful. We also drove to Coral Bay and went to Lime Out, which is a floating taco bar out in the water. It was very cool and the drinks and tacos were amazing. For dinners we went to Hull Bay Hideaway, Brooks Bar, Sib's, and Mafolie, which were all great. All in all, this trip was one of the best we've had and Dean and Melissa's place was absolutely the perfect place to stay!”
Our island weathered 2 category 5 hurricanes September 2017 and we have had an amazing recovery. If you have any questions about the condition of the island and our home please ask. Our house is located 5 minutes from Cruz Bay. This room has parking, private entrance, private bath, and private porch, to enjoy the view. We have a courtyard with a swimming pool and outdoor kitchen that you are welcome to use. There is a Ford Escape available with the room for $50 per day.
“I was supposed to go to St. John with a group of friends in early June but when everyone backed out due to the CV-19 pandemic I was unsure what to do. But when I found out that the USVI would be opening back up on the first of June I decided to keep my plane reservation and luckily I chose Hawk’s Rest for my stay. Donna and Kevin were superb hosts and the room they let to me was just perfect. The view from the balcony is exquisite and being able to wake up every morning with a cup of coffee while taking in the view high above the water was invigorating. In addition, one of the best decisions I made was to rent the SUV from them and use it to explore the island. I’d give Hawk’s Rest (as well as the hosts) six stars out of five if I could.”
