Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Ste. Genevieve County

If you’re looking for a quiet, out of the way stop, this is it. There’s a beautiful gravel-bottom creek on the way up to the house. We did almost miss the driveway - there’s a good sign, but easy to miss. The house was clean and cozy. There’s an unfinished basement with a pool table, and a good washer & dryer. Plenty of space inside and out. Definitely recommend!

So nice, we stayed twice! I surprised my husband by booking this charming dome as an overnight stop on the way to our anniversary vacation. We loved it so much that we booked it again for our return trip—it ended up being the highlight of our journey! The unique design of the dome added a magical touch to our getaway, perfectly complementing the tranquil surroundings. The host was exceptional—always responsive, answering our questions promptly, and even providing fantastic local recommendations that enriched our stay. Ashley's victorian home was just as described! It was very lovely and elegant with beautiful furnishings, comfortable beds, and high-quality linens. The home had wonderful period charm with nicely remodeled bathrooms and kitchen. The house was very clean and was very spacious for our family. The screened in area in the backyard was very enjoyable as well. We liked the walkability to restaurants and things to do. Ashley was a very gracious host! We would definitely return!

This is my second time staying at the Doves nest. My first review for when I sit in January never posted so hopefully this one does. House is absolutely adorable and decorated so cute. open floor plan was really helpful because we had four people and it is plenty of of space. Bedroom is large, king size bed is extremely comfy. There's plenty of accommodations including a coffee bar which we enjoyed as well as a fire pit for the evenings. Host is always friendly and accommodating. where in Ste Gen a few times a year to visit our parents and love being able to walk very easily into town. I would definitely recommend this house.

We celebrated our 2nd Anniversary there and very peaceful, relaxing and beautiful! The hot tub was the highlight of our stay..It's close to our home and close to my hometown. Highly recommend if you're looking for the perfect place to stay!

Our stay was great. We loved that Kandye had sticky notes letting us know that there is a tv show of the restoration. Getting to know the history made it that much more exciting. You can not look at one place in the cabin and see the same thing twice on how it was built. We did not walk anywhere but everything was close by and easy to get to. Kandey did make sure that everything was clean before we arrived. I enjoyed seeing that she has it decorated from the time period of when it was originally built. Thank you and I hope more get to enjoy the experience.

We came in for our 50th class reuion . Eva's Retreat was awesome. Loved the gameroom. Everything was so nice and clean. Had Everything we needed. Jonathon was excellent to work with. The back yard is so big and beautiful . Will definitely be staying here again.

We absolutely loved our time at The Honey Hideaway! The decor was charming and cozy—every corner felt thoughtfully designed. The view was stunning and made for the perfect morning coffee backdrop, and the overall comfort of the space made it so hard to leave. You can tell a lot of care was put into creating a warm, welcoming environment. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy a peaceful escape!
