If you are lucky, you can also experience Cruise ships, King ships and large sailing ships, go by. Sandhornøy has a rich wildlife and just outside the lake house you can experience moose, deer, hares, otters, eagles and grouse. In the summer, Finnvikhaugen is the perfect place to experience the midnight sun and in winter you can experience the aurora borealis. There are great hiking trails and the possibility of a summit tour.

Olvika

Relax with the whole family in peaceful and idyllic Olvika, on the mainland in Lurøy municipality only 80 km from Mo i Rana! Here you can fish and swim from the floating jetty, hiking at the seafront or explore the beautiful and varied nature nearby. The cabin has two bedrooms, a large loft, as well as an attached annex. Living room and fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with washing machine, covered patio, large deck, wood stove, TV and wifi. Immediate proximity to the lake and uninterrupted hiking route. Here you can enjoy yourself in all kinds of weather!

If you just want to relax, the large terrace is perfect for sunbathing and barbecuing or just relaxing with a good book. Here you have everything you would need for a comfortable vacation. If the weather is bad you have panoramic views to the natural elements from the inside.

Stay in newly remodeled Community School

Idyllic Storvik is a small village at the end of Nordland coast in the middle of Saltstraumen and Svartisen. The surroundings are oceans, mountains, sandy beach and fishing waters. Here you can stay in the old grend school that we in our family have converted into a modern apartment. There are several marked hiking trails in the area. They range from very light, to more advanced trips for real "mountain goats". If you would rather relax on the beach and enjoy nature in the distance it is fully possible from the 1.5 km long sandy beach.

At Stia you can stay in scenic and tranquil surroundings with views of the fjord and mountains. Here you can enjoy silence under the starry sky and northern lights, or simply have lazy days on the beach "Stia" located just below the cottage. The cabin is about 1h and 15min away from Bodø Good cabin standard with running well water, hot water and shower. The toilet is indoors in the bathroom and bio toilet type. Private barbecue area where the fireplace can be enjoyed in both rain and sun. Wood is brought or can be purchased by the host for NOK 200 per 40l sack
