Set off a quiet country lane, surrounded by green fields, this lovely and unique cottage is only a short drive from beautiful beaches along the coast, award-wining restaurants in Strangford village and the wonderful NT Castle Ward estate. A 200 year old stone barn restoration, the cottage has tons of character, original features and loads of up-to-date amenities, making it comfortable and cosy all year round. If you are looking for lots to do..or peace, quiet and space, this is the place!

Portloughan Cottage rural retreat with sea views

Located in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, near the pretty village of Strangford. We are a 25min drive to the Mourne Mts, golf courses, and several beaches and 50min drive to Belfast. We are in walking distance of the National Trust's Castleward Estate. Strangford has several shops including a chemist, a newsagent, a cafe, convenience stores, pubs and restaurants as well as the ferry crossing to the Ards Peninsula. You can cycle/walk to the village through the Estate.

The Bolthole in Strangford is a small cosy home located in one of Northern Ireland's beautiful coastal villages. The house dating from the early 1800's, with a later extension, has living, dining and kitchen area, two bedrooms and bathroom. There are great views across Strangford Lough to the coastal village of Portaferry. Strangford village is a great location near historic houses, castles and the Mourne mountains. It has great restaurants, pubs and perfect for Game of Thrones enthusiasts.

Quay View Cottage, Strangford

This beautiful waterfront home in the charming village of Strangford has the most incredible views. The pretty cottage opens up to a spacious townhouse over three floors, comfortably sleeping 8. Enjoy time with family and friends in the large open-plan living space overlooking the quay. Watch the ferry cruise back and forth and the sailing boats come and go, right at the bottom of your private garden. Have breakfast on the terrace and maybe catch a glimpse of the resident dolphins.

Its name is both a nod to Bird Island on Strangford Lough and a reflection of our aim to create a cosy nest in which guests feel snug, comfy and relaxed. The cottage has recently been renovated but retains its historic charm. The furnishings are a mix of antique, vintage and second-hand finds that come together to create a cosy, relaxed, eclectic vibe that's stylish and reflects our commitment to recycle and re-use.
