This was our second stay with Jon Robert & Anna. It is a beautiful place across a small road from the lake with mountain views - including views of waterfalls & the glacier. The apartment is decorated with personal touches, making you feel like you are at home. There are MANY things to do just a drive away. Ålesund is only an hour away. We also drove to Runde (the famous bird island) from here. Jon Robert has a printed guide book with exact routes on driving tours of the area. He is so helpful and friendly. The apartment is very clean, and in very good condition.

We were very happy with the facilities and the host was great at providing good information.

The kitchen is equipped with modern appliances and high-quality kitchenware, which made cooking an absolute pleasure. The entire house was clean and very comfortable to stay in. A beautiful spot tucked in one of the most stunning fjords. If there had been more snow, it would’ve been a backcountry skiers paradise. That being said we still found some great skiing not far from the house. Egil is an awesome host and I would love to come back and visit in the summer and again in the winter (hopefully with more snow). Worth a stay if you’re looking for a quiet, peaceful place to vacation.

We really enjoined our stay in the house. The neighborhood was quiet and safe, house was clean and spacious and the view to mountains was amazing. Communication with the owner was smooth.

The location and setting were amazing and the place was perfect. What made the stay extra special was Lidun and the time and care she took to make sure we knew where to go and had stuff to do. She helped us plan two amazing days within 1-2 hours of where she lived and we got to see so much of the area which is truly amazing. Even with mediocre weather we had a fabulous stay. We hope to be back here!!

Øystein's house is fantastically located, overlooking fjords and mountains and walking distance both to Ålesund city center and to beautiful hiking areas at Aksla. Private parking space in a city that is in short supply, contributed to good well-being and zero stress. Recommended!
