Holiday rentals with a washing machine and dryer in Sumidero Canyon

Dead end street, even a school on the open end. Rx for rare quiet in Mexico: incessant barking dog; base tuned to 11; IF THE FEW PEOPLE WHO LIVE THERE DO NOT BLOW IT WITH A 2:30am block party.

Family owned AirBnB and son Marcos was super quick and responsive. I stayed here for 5 weeks and he got me a microwave, place had yoga mats, and I loved the treated water. You can tell they know the needs of a traveler and have AirBnB filled with things like sufficient lighting, kitchen tools, extra cleaning supplies, extra blankets, heater, and etc. Don’t hesitate to reserve your stay. You will enjoy every minute of it.

This 1-bdr apt has charming architecture & comfortable decor. The views out the windows are exceptionally beautiful. The location is very safe night and in the daytime, being on a friendly pedestrian street. Some noise in the evenings from the activities on the street (e.g., street musicians), but things are usually calm by 11 pm. Wonderful aromas of delicious baked goods and Indian/Hindu cuisine waft up from the ground floor. After traveling for a while, it was very nice to be able to use the washing machine, which takes a hour at most. You don't have to dry the clothes in the machine, just take them out and hang them up to dry on racks/hangers/ironing board provided. When arriving, pay attention to the photo of the yellow building facade, which is what you watch for, rather than the photo of the stairs up to the deck outside the apartment front door (at the back side of the bldg). Nice women run this airbnb. Recommended driver was great. We'd love to visit again!

Roberto's studio was beautiful. Clean, quiet, in amongst many units. Beautiful gardens and fresh vegetables and herbs free to pick. I had many good organic and very fresh salads daily. Issac the caretaker was great. A peaceful and lovely time. Thanks

Excellent place to stay to sleep if you are going to a concert of the Foro or the Palenque, very close and comfortable to stay if you are far away.

We stayed here for two months, April and May. The best thing about this apartment is the beautiful view of San Cristobal and the surrounding mountains from the terrace. The wonderful host, Luis, who lives on the premises, was educated and well-traveled, and we enjoyed talking with him about the different places we had both been in the world. He was also always immediately responsive to any issues we might have. We have lived all over the world since leaving the US 20 months ago, and the kitchen was quite large and, hands down, the best we have had anywhere. Also, we thought the beds were very comfortable. And the property also has its own washer and dryer. The house is divided into several Airbnb rentals. It is pretty walkable to El Centro and the Guadalupe Walking Street—about a 15 to 20-minute walk. In addition, there are restaurants, shops, a pharmacy and an OXXO close by. The park is about a half-block away, and it is easy and inexpensive to get a taxi from there to anywhere in San Cristobal. The downside would be the same as everywhere in Mexico that we have been—noise, although the internet (usually a problem) was actually pretty good here, and compared to other places we have been in Mexico, we really couldn’t complain much. The street has a fair amount of traffic, but we didn’t hear a lot of dogs barking, which is usually a big problem for us in Mexico; however, we did hear firecrackers—sometimes because of people celebrating a particular holiday. We never felt unsafe, especially walking at night, but we always stayed on the main streets in the main areas.

The location and space was perfect. Very close to local restaurants and el Centro. The apartment includes washer and dryer on the roof terrace which was very convenient. Edgar was very responsive to any issues or concerns. The check-in was fast and easy. I recommend this space if you’re looking to stay in San Cris.

Erendira is very friendly and so is her mother. We use the unit for my aunt to rest after her surgery. The care of the hosts before our arrival was excellent and they are very understanding. I highly recommend this place.

Right from the start we had a pleasant stay at Erendiras house. She was very attentive and solved all our concerns via Whats-app. When we arrived at the house her mum was already waiting for us with a big smile and warm hugs. After that she showed us around in the house. Still smiling she explained how to lock and use everything. So we could wash and iron our clothes after being on the road for a while. What a blessing to feel at home as we did in Tuxtla. The house itself was as described, clean and with a lot of space for the two of us. Thank to you Erendira and your mum to make us feel so comfortable. See you next time =)

One thing I didn't anticipate coming from Palenque, it's cool at home! However, it is 2100 above sea level and the temperature of 14 degrees Celsius unpleasantly surprised me! Other than that, it's a wonderful place to get away from the bustling downtown San Christobal! It is a washer and dryer!!! Hot shower and comfy bed! View from the windows to the forest and the mountains!

Very good accommodation if you need to spend the night in Tuxtla and you have pets. It is very close to main roads so it has easy exit to several sites. The parking lot is a bit narrow. The area is not beautiful but it is close to supermarkets and restaurants. The air conditioners work super and the space is spacious. The hosts are very responsive and the check-in instructions are very clear. Recommended.
