This was a charming old wooden house. Kitchen was full equipped, beds were comfortable. There is plenty to see and do within walking distance. There are also several unique local restaurants nearby. Stayed here as a family of four; would definitely do it again.

This is my second time staying at this Airbnb, and once again, it exceeded all expectations. The place is consistently clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed for comfort and convenience. The bed is super comfortable, the Wi-Fi is fast and reliable (perfect for working remotely), and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need for a short or extended stay. What I appreciate most is the host's attention to detail and warm hospitality. Check-in was smooth, communication was prompt, and they went out of their way to ensure everything was perfect. The location is also a huge plus it safe, quiet, and within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and key attractions. It’s rare to find a place that offers this level of quality and service at such a great value. I highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone visiting the area. You won’t be disappointed. Taka-san is a Superb Host! The apartment is spacious, sparkling clean and beautiful. We felt so at home and the beds are so comfortable. The facilities and equipment are brand new and clean. We just wish we could have a longer stay at this nice apartment. We will be back for sure 👍

Thanks Tohru for being an amazing host. We really enjoyed our stay at your air bnb. It was an authentic Japanese style living experience. The rooms had the most beautiful view of Mt Fuji. Tohru was very friendly and kind. He offered to pick us up and drop us off at the bus station. Additionally, we were also able to borrow his bikes to explore Lake Kawaguchiko. Would highly recommend booking this serene accommodation.

GWに家族(3人+🐶)で泊まらせていただきました。予約時からスムーズかつ丁寧に対応していただき、不明点等があっても安心して過ごすことができました。サウナ、BBQ、ピザ窯、焚き火台をオプションで追加させていただきましたが、全部最高でした！特にサウナがおすすめです。サウナはアロマオイルの香りも最高でベンチでぽーっと自然をみながら休憩するのも最高！我が家は一生BBQし放題。父親はずっと外で肉を焼くか、ベンチで日光浴をしておりました笑また部屋の設備も充実しており、持参したギターと置いてあるピアノでセッションもしました！(一軒一軒離れていたので日中はあまり気にせず演奏できました*\(^o^)/*) 朝から川のせせらぎと鳥の鳴き声が聞こえてきて都会の喧騒から解放され、最高のデトックスとなりました。ありがとうございました。 p.sちなみに周辺施設ですが、徒歩圏内に道の駅とクリエイトもあり、買い忘れの際も便利でした。道の駅にはデザートも売っていて美味しかったです(プリン庭で黄昏ながら食べました) また是非利用させていただきたいです！

Good location close to the railway station, and a short walk to Enoshima. All of the basic accomodations you might need, besides laundry. If you have mobility issues, you may find it challenging to bring large or heavy luggage up to the unit.

As many other reviews here have stated, this is one of the best AirBnB I have ever stayed in. The place is spacious and absolutely gorgeous. We arrived late at night, check in was easy and when we got inside we just said “wow!”. The villa is so well decorated and laid out. Looks even better than photos. There is everything you want or need for your stay. We stayed with our toddler and there were even thoughtful amenities left for her. The delicious treats left for us with handwritten notes was a beautiful surprise. The bed was so comfortable and the private onsen was a perfect addition. Yuji was a great host, very responsive and friendly. We hired a car which made it easier to get to the accommodation as it’s secluded and in nature. Driving is also a great way to explore the local area, definitely recommend. We stayed two nights and wish we stayed longer. We can’t wait to come back to Hakone and stay in your beautiful villa again. Thank you for a lovely, relaxing stay ❤️

The Tinderbox just keeps getting better! Each time we stay, there are new improvements. Unlike many places that starts to show wear, the hosts keep making small changes and updates that improves the comfort of the home. New plush down blankets and a new washing machine/dryer combo, new shower head that delivers more water pressure… The hosts are very responsive and always available. They think of the smallest details to ensure a great experience. We look forward to our next holiday at this very comfortable home!

お正月に、２泊滞在しました大皿しかないと、書かれてましたがテーブルが大きいので、問題なかったです土鍋とカセットコンロがあったので聞けば良かったです(持参しました) 快適なお家なので、お勧めしたいですチェックアウトで急いでたのでロルフさんに、ご挨拶できずに申し訳ございませんお世話になりましたありがとうございます

My husband and I had 3 great nights at Hill Top house. It was certainly dramatic excentuated by our arrival in the dark on the first night and waking in the morning to glorious sunshine and stunning views out to the Pacific, not to mention the monkey troop walking along the tree line behind the house. The house is as described and is a modernist gem. We would not hesitate to stay again. We only wished we had booked it for longer.

Such a great house with an amazing view of Mount Fuji. We loved all the amenities including the sauna, jacuzzi, soft drink machine, ice machine, and indoor range hood for cooking meats and hotpot. Bathroom was spacious and the 3 bedrooms were all very comfortable. Would highly recommend!

This stay was absolutely exceptional. The beautifully designed sauna, complete with a cold plunge and a dedicated relaxation space, offered a truly authentic wellness experience. Two hinoki-scented hot springs added a luxurious and serene touch. The view from the rooms were stunning, I can only imagine how breathtaking it must be during cherry blossom season or when fireworks light up the sky. Being located right behind the station, the convenience was unbeatable. The amenities were fully stocked, and I was impressed by the thoughtful interior design - the elegant use of color, the stylish shoji screens in the Japanese-style room, and even the high-quality sound system that elevated the entire atmosphere. Every detail reflected a great sense of taste. I’d return in a heartbeat.

はじめ場所がわからず、チャットで連絡をとるとすぐにレスポンス頂き、近くのコンビニまで迎えに来てくださってとても親切でした。大人2人と子供2人で行き、部屋はキレイだし、BBQと花火も出来きて家族みんな大満喫しました。また山梨に行く際は利用したいです。

We stayed with our children and had a wonderful time. The place was clean, had a cozy and homely atmosphere, and we felt very comfortable. We could feel Mt. Fuji close by, and with Lake Kawaguchi nearby as well, we enjoyed the rich nature and had a relaxing stay. Child-friendly tableware was provided, so we felt at ease. There was also a shopping mall nearby, which made the stay even more convenient. A hot spring facility was just a short drive away, and both kids and adults had a great time. The bathroom in the room was also very comfortable. The guidance before our stay was polite and helpful. We’d love to stay here again! 子ども連れで宿泊し、素晴らしい時間を過ごしました。清潔で、居心地がよくアットホームな雰囲気で、とても快適に過ごしました。富士山を間近に感じられ、河口湖も近くにあり、自然が豊かでリラックスした滞在ができました。子ども用の食器も用意されていて、安心して過ごせました。近くにはショッピングモールもあり、さらに便利でした。車ですぐのところに温泉施設もあり、子どもも大人も大満足でした。部屋のバスルームもベッドルームもとても快適でした。事前の案内も丁寧で親切でした。またぜひ利用したいです！
