Located in walking distance of a bus terminal, taking you to and from the airport and to various sightseeing tours of your choice. Also in walking distance: A large grocery store, a cozy café, Laugardalslaug public pool.

The cottage is on a quiet and beautiful place. The terrace faces south and in calm nice weather it is great to have a nice evening with barbeque grill or lying in the hot tub watching the stars or at winter time watching the amazing northern lights. Great hiking paths are in the area and lots of Icelandic horse realated activities are all around.We are located between Hveragerði and Selfoss (5km from Hveragerði and 10km from Selfoss). There you can find great swimming pools and all necessities.

A perfect location to explore the local sightseeing, and a stone's throw away from the best restaurants and bars of Reykjavik. Please note this is a multi-listing property, so there can be a slight difference in details between apartments. The apartments are on 2nd-7th floor, so the view is also different. After experiencing downtown Reykjavik, cook up a lovely meal and enjoy a drink on the balconies.

It has a well stocked kitchen, elegant furniture, a beautiful bathroom and comfortable new beds, one king and one queen. The third room/office is open with one single bed and beautiful sunset views. Surrounding the property is a beautiful lava garden with a deck that offers spectacular views on the nature park, lots of hikes, a romantic lake and nearby new volcano and Blue Lagoon.

The Old Farm-House

Gamla húsið is in Kirkjuferjuhjaleiga horse-farm, located in the south of Iceland, 35km -from Reykjavík in Ölfus and 3min. drive off Route 1. Perfect as either the starting point for an exploration of southern Iceland or as a base since it is close to the Golden Circle and a few hours drive to the glaciers and black sands of the south. Kirkjuferjuhjaleiga is a horse farm, on the banks of the salmon-rich Ölfusá river surrounded by beautiful landscape.
