Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Switzerland

The house is located in a unique historic village. Definitely go for a walk through the village . The location is great to discover the Versace valley and Lago Maggiore. The historic has been nicely renovated . All the essentials were present. It is a small and cozy house and it was perfect for us as a family for 4 nights ( 2 adults , 1 toddler, 1 dog). You can have dinner outside looking out over the valley. There is a great restaurant located next to the house. It has to be noted that parking was difficult. There is no dedicated parking for the house. One night we had to park 10 minutes down the road. Also, you have to go down quite a few steps to get to the house. Which might a challenge for less mobile people. We also struggled to find the place on the day of our arrival. The location on Airbnb is a few 100 meters off and it seems like all houses are called Rustico. However, Davide was very responsive and showed us in the right direction. Overall we had a great stay.

The house was perfect for a weekend (or even a week) with friends in the mountains. By car, you quickly threw at the valley station. The house was large, had enough bedrooms, comfortable beds and also the kitchen was very generously furnished. Heidi is a very good host. She always wrote quickly and kindly. She went out of her way to make sure we liked it. It's a great house, great host and I can only recommend it.

Absolutely fantastic accommodation experience. Very comprehensive information from Cely, lots of advice and recommendations. Great kitchen amenities, coffee maker with great coffee, tea, washing and cleaning supplies. Cely even baked a great banana bread for us and gave us butter and jam, which completely took our breath away. Truly extraordinarily excellent, always before we wanted anything, Cely predicted it and it was met in advance.

The place was as described and very clean and lovingly furnished. We felt very comfortable and all our expectations were exceeded. Thank you for the great hospitality.

Christine's apartment was fabulous, modern, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, cosy and had comfortable beds. We felt very comfortable and can highly recommend it. Just be aware though if you are booking this 6 bed apartment for only 3 or 4 people as we had an issue. We were a party of 2 mothers (in 60's) & 2 sons (in 20's). We were pleased to find this apartment as it had 3 rooms so the mothers could have a room each and sons share twin room. However when we arrived the twin room was locked and unavailable & 2 rooms did not match the listing showing 3. We were very disappointed. Christine did respond quickly and rectified the situation but pointed out she she had provided 4 beds. One mother is an Airbnb host and didn't feel she was very apologetic for the disappointment we had felt. She would have been far more apologetic. However she did not charge us for use of laundry to compensate. we can still thoroughly recommend this lovely apartment.

We liked the place VERY MUCH. Totally stylish and beautifully decorated. It had everything we needed. For our children, there were also many ways to linger through the cool rooms, furniture, the swing on the upper floor, the playroom in the attic and the great toys we found in a closet. Only the steep staircase to the upper floor is not so suitable for very small children, as they need companions (open and without railings). The beds were super fresh and very comfortable. The kitchen was tiptop equipped. We felt immediately comfortable, the children were also very enthusiastic. The house is lovingly decorated. Really great. The contact with the hostess was super nice and quick. She always responded within a short time. We came by public transport, so you just have to factor in some time because the nearest bus stop is about 25 minutes away. But that worked. Nice and quiet area, with possibility to go into the forest.

We were there in October with small children. The accommodation offers everything it needs and is very warmly furnished, with a lot of attention to detail. Right on the first day, Alessandra's father came by with a welcome gift. He was very warm and helpful. The large garden with the fireplace and a breathtaking view was the highlight. The kitchen is very well equipped. We cooked delicious dishes every day. There are a lot of toys in the house, for children of all ages. The village is very and authentic. We were able to see various wildlife in the area. A beautiful valley that has something mystical about it at this time of year. The steep slopes with countless waterfalls, the colored leaves and the morning bubble rising out of the woods. Scenic villages on the southern slopes. Perfect to get away from the hustle and bustle. The location is ideal, conveniently close to Zürich's main station and the bus stop, making it easy to embark on trips. It's also within walking distance of tram stations and surrounded by excellent restaurants and grocery stores. The apartment itself was spacious, well-maintained, and comfortable. The hosts were supportive as well. All in all good experience.

The apartment is in a great location. Especially in front of the bus that leads to the ski resort. In addition, it has been very cozy, perfectly equipped and just right for us. Nicole is friendly and communication went perfectly. Looking forward to next time!

Nice & cozy place to stay. Comfortable beds. Top equipped (even table grill & fondue dishes available). Grocery stores and gondola very close. Thermal bath (Hotel Nendaz) is also very close. Heinz responds quickly to questions & is very friendly. We had a very enjoyable stay - thank you!

Cozy accommodation and very well equipped. We appreciated its comfort. Alina is a very responsive, available and caring host. Maybe we'll come back to that someday.

A wonderful apartment with blinds!! With everything you need to make life. A terrace to enjoy a morning cafe where you will see go down and climb squirrels. The rooms are perfect. And the shower is a luxury, totally renovated. The location in wonderful zermatt without noise and a 2-minute walk from the meollo. Totally recommended and we would definitely come back. Had a great stay, was easy to find and check in. For us the location was perfect, with an amazing view. For us as hikers we loved the area.

Excellent spot with a beautiful view. Plenty of room for 2 people. Kitchen is well equipped to cook home cooked meal and enjoy the beauty of the lake. Check in was smooth and Gian welcomed us and showed us around. Highly recommended!

The stay at Patrizia's apartment was excellent. Especially the communication, the tidy impeccable apartment as well as the two large and cozy balconies were great. The somewhat outdated coffee machine may no longer meet today's needs. However, I was amazed at how well the coffee ended and this without capsules. happy to be back in Patrizia's apartment.

Joelle is very responsive and kind. The apartment is spacious, bright, and well equipped. Perfect for a family of 4-5. Super position with easy access to many beautiful hikes (some start exactly from the apartment e.g. Rocabella or Pass da Sett), lots of tranquility, and a quick drive to more populated Engadin and Surses.

We (a family with a young daughter) stayed four nights at Sebastiano’s place and had a wonderful time. The apartment is equipped with everything you need, very spacious (even larger than expected from the photos), and the balcony and terrace offer stunning views of Lake Lugano. Gandria is a charming, picturesque village with a few nice places to eat. The bus and boat stations are just a short walk away, and there are lovely paths for hiking and strolling. We don’t have a car and got around entirely with public transport — it takes a little planning but works very well. Sebastiano was a great host — very easy to communicate with and proactive, which made everything smooth and stress-free.
