Quaint, charming and comfy studio apartment within a Victorian home located in the historical section of town. Separate/private entrance with stairs going to the 2nd floor. Walking distance to downtown area for shopping, restaurants, local coffee house and local brewery. Only 30 miles from Notre Dame!
“Charming and Cozy - and that's no lie! I stayed for a night with my 7 year old daughter. We kept saying how "cute and coze (our word for cozy) the place is." If you like coffee, there's an excellent coffee selection along with teas and cocoa. I was spoiled and made an iced coffee as soon as we put our stuff down. Big bed with tons of pillows. Perfect little fold out twin bed. No tv but wifi included. Quiet place except for lots of trains. I'm a train lover so it doesn't bother me, but if someone isn't used to it, they might not like it. Adorable, historic neighborhood right downtown. Lots of beautiful trees. However, very frustrating navigating area since a main road is closed. Had to go way out of our way to drive what should have only been a few blocks. I certainly do not hold that against anyone, but it was frustrating nonetheless. Very clean overall with beautiful fixtures, a pedestal sink and clawfoot tub (very tiny though, not made for soaking) and adorable paint job/wallpaper. Like a little dollhouse! This is a great place for a small family or a couple looking for a quiet night or couple nights away. It was worth every penny and would stay again. Joanne is an excellent host and responds quickly.”
Simple, practical, purposeful . Available all year. The bonus is waking to the incredible lake view! Ideal for fishermen, a couple, or a small family hoping to enjoy boating activities, playing yard games, fishing along shore/pier, or just relaxing on the deck. Note: No beach area. We do not recommend swimming at the pier. Happy to recommend swimming spots on the lake. Located on the southeast side of the lake, use as home base to attend area attractions or combining business with pleasure.
“Terri’s place was so beautiful. It made me want to live there! So beautiful, and modern. Perfect view of the lake. She also allowed pets which is a huge plus for my boyfriend and I because the 3 of us (our dog) love to get away together. Winona Lake is one of our favorite places and it’s only a 20 minute drive. I also loved the privacy we were given. It’s always a little worrisome when hosts live next door because you never know what to expect, but Terri greeted us and let us do our thing. She also messaged us every morning to make sure we had everything we needed and our stay was going well. I would absolutely recommend this stay to anyone! Beautiful home and an even sweeter host.”
Enjoy privacy in this beautifully handcrafted cottage with arched ceilings. The cottage is 2 miles from downtown Goshen - a vibrant small town with restaurants and shops. It's 1 mile from Goshen College, 45 minutes from Notre Dame and 25 minutes from the Amish town of Shipshewana. The cottage is beside a fruit, nut and berry orchard and gardens. It's adjacent to a city bike trail that links to the Pumpkinvine nature/bike trail. It's close to a train crossing (with whistle) and a busy street.
“Becky’s place is incredibly stylish, warm and comfortable. Overall the unit is really quiet and has everything you might need. I would come back again. the hosts are very polite and welcoming”
