Once a Belgian customs post, this long-abandoned site has been completely renovated with care and respect for its original architecture, to become a contemporary, bright and comfortable gîte in the heart of the countryside. It provides a unique setting in which to recharge, breathe, and reconnect with what is most important. A unique place steeped in history, just 100 metres from the French border, situated on an ancient Roman road and at the heart of an area marked by the Battle of Malplaquet.

Beautiful industrial loft totaly restaured. Located in our house, the loft is completely private, you share the entrance hall and the backyard with us. The loft features 1 kitchen 1 huge bedroom with a 1m80 width bed and a mezzanine with the sitting-room view. There is a also a cosy reading corner and a beautiful brand new bathroom with an italian shower. 65 square meters in total with air conditioning. Access to the jacuzzi is optional for 20€ bathrobes included.

The small house

Located 500m from the D649 road and at the entrance of the Avesnois Regional Park, the accommodation offers all the amenities for a pleasant time. You will be in 5 minutes in Maubeuge, 20 mins in Mons and Valenciennes, 45 mins from Lille and 1 hour from Brussels. A parking space is available in front of the property as well as the possibility to store bikes in our garage.
