Perfect for one or two people, The Writer's Studio is fully self-contained. It has a really comfortable and firm inflatable queen bed. Away from the main house, it opens out onto a small orchard. This is a quiet oasis you can enjoy in between exploring all the Barossa has to offer. It has dining and sitting areas as well as a reading nook in the loft. It has a sofa which can open out for a child if necessary. Or we can set up another inflatable bed in the loft, accessed by a loft ladder.
“This place was gorgeous . We loved the decor ...simple but sensuous and sumptuous in its use of colour and texture . The host was very generous in her local knowledge . Generous supplies provided for breakfast and access to beautiful fresh fruit from the host’s garden . Very good location with great local restaurants and wine bars within walking distance. Do not be concerned by the inflatable bed. It was incredibly comfortable and we slept well . Despite the modest size of the kitchen , we were easily able to cook ourselves a full meal . Delightful”
If you want to be close to everything, Bridget's House is within 2 minutes walk of the main street of the Tanunda in the heart of the Barossa Valley. It's an easy walk to our favourite restaurants, beautiful retail stores, pubs and main town facilities. Supermarket, Pharmacy close-by. Everything you need is at the end of the street and the price includes up to 4 guests! No extra $ for more people, no chintz or friezes, just a stylish sunny home (and best of all, no cabs required).
“Bridget, it was truly an absolute pleasure to have stayed in your home. Ourselves and our friends felt very welcomed and comfortable in the sanctuary that you have. We loved the garden and fresh produce that was seasonally on offer in our own little paradise. We cannot recommend this experience at Bridgets house more highly. Fabulous location, sparkling clean and tranquil. The Barossa is a magical region to explore and well worth the efforts of making your way to this town. Thornby Butcher is a must, to purchase an amazing cut of meat or roast in the Weber. Together with so many wineries and wine styles on offer makes this a perfect degustation destination. Wishing you all the very best Bridget. We’ll be sure to return someday.”
Our cottage is hidden away in Tanunda in the heart of the Barossa Valley. It's little - just one cosy bedroom - but in a very handy location just up the road from iconic Tanunda wineries. It has a private garden and undercover off-street parking.
“Little Para Cottage is an ample sized holiday stay location but with a very cosy cottage feel, inside and out. Wendy was very welcoming and filled the cottage with lovely touches. Tanunda is a great location from which to explore the Barossa. Everything is within easy access.”
