The Crib "Antrim Down"

The Family Crib is one of the original Cribs in Te Anau. My grandfather built it in 1933. Over the years, it has undergone numerous renovations. Warm and cozy, very close to the Lake, and an easy walk to all the great Cafes and Restaurants. Bi-fold doors lead out to a deck. A large section is suitable for parking vehicles/boats. Sky TV is available on Movie and sports channels, and we have Wi fi. A heat pump is the main heating; however, you do have the option of opening a fire. Comfy beds ☺

Centrally located holiday house

Book a home, not a hotel. An easy 1.5km walk to the centre of town where you'll be able to enjoy a plethora of bars and restaurants down the main street. She's not perfect but we've upgraded a few things, including a new kitchen, bathroom and living area. Enjoy the indoor outdoor flow onto the wooden deck overlooking the backyard towards the Murchison Mountains. The bedrooms have not been renovated and still have original single glazed windows with some wear and tear around the walls.

Bask in the sun or stay cosy by the fire, as you watch the everchanging landscape of Lake Manapouri and the spectacular Cathedral Mountains of Fiordland from the comfort of the living room. Or get out and explore it for your yourself with the lake front a stones throw from the doorstep. We hope you will enjoy the cottage with it's rustic charm and lovely river stone fire place as much as we do!
