(North) The boats can be rented from the neighbors and the beautiful bridges can be found only a 6-minute walk away. This is where Giethoorn originated, and the oldest cottages line the path. Without crowds of tourists. (They’re in Giethoorn Zuid.) Here, you can still enjoy the wonderful tranquillity and beauty of the historic village of Giethoorn. Unfortunately not suitable for infants/children from 0 to 8.

If you are looking for a larger shopping center, Gorredijk (known for Rinsma modeplein) Sportstad/Thialf Heerenveen, Drachten, Leeuwarden, and Sneek are also easy to drive to.

Hiking trails are available from this farm, and you can dive into the woods. Giethoorn 12 km, Overijssel 10 meters and Drenthe 13 km. In short, the location is ideal for exploring the Netherlands! If you come for peace, you are in the right place! The house is full of comforts, and you have a large fenced garden at your disposal.

Relax in a detached, cozy cottage.

The detached cottage with underfloor heating and wood stove is located on a piece of land between the old harbor of Oldeberkoop and our farm. The lovely sunny garden with terrace, surround the cottage and give you all the privacy. In the morning, you can walk to the local bakery for fresh bread. A walk is easily started in the opposite park-like Molenbosch. With the free bicycles, you can explore the wooded, rural area via all kinds of routes. A place to unwind!

Just outside the beautiful village of Oldeberkoop, you will find guesthouse Haas in the middle of the meadows. It is the ideal place to escape city life and completely unwind. A stone's throw from Wolvega is our beautiful estate farm Eik & Linde. The apartment is at the back and overlooks the estate. The beautiful Lindevallei, the Weeribben, Giethoorn, the Tjeukemeer and the Dwingelerveld are within cycling distance. The apartment is furnished in such a way that you can sit comfortably, dine wonderfully and cook extensively. You will completely relax here. It's beautiful here all seasons. Dogs are welcome.

In this region you can make beautiful hiking/biking/MTB trips to the Weerribben and Giethoorn but also to the Drents Friese Woud, Heerenveen Oranjewoud. Ice skating in Thialf. Rent a boat and/or go to De Lemmer to the beach. From Sonnega, all this is fine. We are open to tips.
