Holiday rentals with lake access in Þingeyjarsveit

After a long snowy drive from Reykjavík, we arrived at Haraldur's home and were greeted by him at the front door. He and his home are lovely and he showed us around the property which made us feel very welcomed and at home. His home is well looked after and cared for with amazing views all around. Our favourite part is definitely the private geothermal pool in the backyard and is well worth the cold walk from the front door to the pool. There is a local restaurant and a small shop nearby and the house is located close to Akureyri, Husavik, Godafoss and the rest of the Diamond Circle. It was very nice to chat with Haraldur under the Northern Lights. We would highly recommend staying here and if we're ever looking for a place to stay in Northern Iceland again, this is where we'll be :)

Alejandro was a great host, very friendly, responsive, felt very welcome in his home. Everything is exactly as advertised, a great place to stay to check out all the attractions in the Myvatn area

Our stay with Sabine was wonderful. We stayed here two nights and enjoyed the peaceful quiet. Her home is exceptionally clean and comfortable. She has the most well equipped kitchen of any place we stayed in Iceland. Sabine was also helpful in giving us recommendations. This home is well located as a break along the Ring Road and an easy drive to the Mývatn area. Highly recommend!

Enjoyed our stay. Alejandro is a great hose. We received lots of information about the surrounding area. Definitely would stay here again.

The house was perfect for our needs (we are a family of 7)- even big! Kitchen was great and the location was beautiful! Highly recommend!

The lake and a supermarket were just a 3-minute walk away, making morning walks especially enjoyable. We truly appreciated the kindness and comfort during our stay. We would love to visit again in the future!

Our stay here was very comfortable. This was the best equipped of all the kitchens and apartment in general of all the bnb’s we stayed at. Warm and cosy with the underfloor heating. Very easy to find just on the road 85. Highly recommend. Cute cheeky puppies too 🥰
