We are so lucky to have WorldBeat so close to us, located in Balboa Park. I take American Tribal Style bellydancing class here on Monday night. Check their calander for events.

WorldBeat is truly one of San Diego's hidden gems. Hidden, because there's never much publicity about it - certainly not in any tourist guides or info I've ever seen. Decorated with multicultural art from around the world, WorldBeat hosts performances, ceremonies & lessons of music, dance, drumming from around the world (sometimes free, always good). They sell great food/drink, they have an organic garden outside, they support kids' education through their garden and activities, and they're just an all around good-doing, fun-having, world-enriching entity. Located near the middle of Balboa Park, right next to Park Blvd, it's easy to get to. www.worldbeatcenter.org

WAY underreported place. Amazing performances & lessons in worldwide culture/history (dance, drumming, music, history, etc!) They have a great organic garden outside and a great little kitchen inside!
